I needed something to empty my burner's ashes into because I'm using it more often for heating and they're not generally cold enough to go straight into the bin of a morning. Even when cool enough I make a mess by trying to empty them into a bag to take out to the main bin, ashes everywhere and a grumpy me. I only meant to have a look but when I saw this and the very good price I ordered it straight away to give it a go as there were good reviews on all of the ones for sale, this being the cheapest. I don't think I was expecting much to be honest given that it was under £18 but I'm honestly impressed at how big and well made this ash bin is. It's had its first use this morning and totally does the job I needed it for with minimal mess. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this or the seller because it really is good quality and arrived quickly even though it wasn't offered on prime. Not often you get something that does exactly what it is supposed to do and comes with a decent price tag! Happy days

Satisfactory for its intended purpose. But don't do what my neighbour did with wood ash; he emptied the contents into his council plastic disposal bin next to his motor home. The ash was still warm enough to set fire not only to the bin, but the motor home as well.

Does what it says, just not quite big enough for our trays

So useful. I wish I’d got this years ago as it makes taking up the ashes so easier and with less mess. Well designed and made, it’s big enough to empty the stove ash tray straight in without a cloud of dust and ash can stay there until cold and be put in the bin.
