A good challenge for my LEGO maniac 6 yr old and very sturdy set!
We purchased this for our almost 7 year old for Christmas. Totally didn't see the 14+ age recommendation until he was almost done building it. He is an avid LEGO maniac but he wanted an army tank which LEGO doesn't offer which is how we found the Mega Bloks call of duty line. When we opened the box I was pleasantly surprised to see that the bags were numbered despite what other reviewers had said. However my joy quickly faded to being overwhelmed when in the first few pages all the bags were opened because he neede pieces from random bags. So for 2 days hundreds of camoflage pieces covered my dining room table as he built the tank. Surprisingly he only neede minimal help until the last couple of pages when I think he just got tired! He was definitely more challenged with this set than any LEGO set he had built (and he's built lots). Overall it's a great piece. Very cool looking and seems a bit sturdier than his other LEGO brand sets. He's played with it a bit without any pieces falling off. I would totally recommend this and will definitely buy other Mega Block sets in the future.

Great sets
These kits are awesome.... I personally think they kick the crap out of lego.... They are more complex and for such a great price especially when you get them on sale. If you actually figured out the cost per piece on these, especially when on sale they are way cheaper. The fit is pretty good.... Compatible with lego. To be fair lego fit is a bit better. Lego instructions are easier in that some times in the mega blok instructions you have a hard time figuring out which color the piece is.....

Great!
Looking forward to giving this as a present! It seems like a great item and hopefully it will take a little longer than the lego sets to build! Update: My husband loved this set. The pieces are much smaller then legos and the directions were a bit confusing at time but it is still a great product. My husband enjoyed building it and I am so happy it took him longer to build (3 nights) instead of just a couple hours. The finished product was exactly how it looked. I was very impressed with this set!

A Brick of Bricks
A literal and figurative tank. While it lacks the impressive interior detailing of some of the more intricate models here on Amazon, this thing builds incredibly dense. On the one hand I was a little disappointed that it lacked a detailed engine or interior crew compartment. On the other, the incredibly dense hull design is super sturdy, making it a lot the kids can actually play with when finished (as opposed to the more 'model like kits that are intricate but a little flimsy). It's not the easiest build ever, with a lot of very similar parts, so little ones may need some adult assistance on the build itself. That said, once completed its much more of a true 'you' than some of the specific 'model' kits you see here (I'm looking at you, Cobi). Long story short, if you're looking to build an authentic main battle tank for display purposes, this probably isn't for you. If you're looking for something the kids can good around with after construction? It's about perfect.

Very nice and will keep them busy for a few hours building it
My oldest child loves military, tanks, helicopters and call of duty. This was perfect for him. He fell asleep putting this together that night so I finished it for him (he was close but still took me another hour to complete.) He was excited when he woke up to finally play with it. He has since loved taking it apart and building it his way or into completely different things. Comes with the tank and base. I also bought the call of duty helicopter to go with it to make a set.

and he loved it. Only took him a couple of days
This was a birthday gift for my teenage son, and he loved it. Only took him a couple of days, but he enjoyed it. Directions were perfect, and made for an excellent joint father/son project. The size is kind of small, but since he isn't looking to play with it, the size wasn't that important, but it works rolls across the floor when completed. I would recommend for kids age 12+.

Painful to build without a magnifying glass
This is a good tank lego but you have to push down on the tank to get the tracks to spin when moving the tank and that causes the turret to push down in a way that it won't allow it to turn which causes my 6yr old grief. The instructions were brutal. I actually had to use a magnifying glass to see where the lines where that show the lego piece separations. If you don't have 20/05 vision, go buy a magnifying glass!! Also, there are a lot of tiny pieces.

Great set, brought two of this for display very well put together. Hours of building fun. Will recommand to all lego fan or collector. May be little bit hard for the kid to build by them self. As you will have to open all the bags at the begaining of the build. But you should have no problem as long as you seperate each bag content in different container.
