This is a great choice if you want an adjustable bed with no chemical smell!
This is the 4th adjustable base we have purchased. The first two had chemical smell from the plywood, foam and or fabric. So we decided to go all metal. This one has a very comfortable foot raise that bends at the knee. Great for lounging and probably back sleepers. No presets, massage, head incline or any of the other fancy features but it is a great lounger. No smell at all upon unboxing.I wanted shorter legs so I emailed the company and got this response:"Thank you for reaching out to us. There is an option to purchase shorter legs as well for the L100 base. You can get either 5 inch legs or 8.5 inch legs. You would just need to contact us at 888-975-8243 and we can process that for you. "The shorter legs were $70. I got the 5" legs. They worked like a charm and now my dog can jump up on the bed. With 5" legs you have about 7" from the floor to the top of the platform. I also like that you can order headboard brackets here on Amazon. When the frame came I noticed the motor was slightly noisier than the other all metal adjustable frame we had bought so I called Lucid. They had me hold up the phone up to the motor and then they held up their phone to the one at the office. Same noise, so it is functioning as it was designed. If this is the only frame you order I don't think you will notice it as being bad as my husband has no trouble sleeping through it. The other frame we have is just quieter. However I have to give the nod to this one over the other one because the leg raise is higher and bends at the knee whereas the other one goes straight up as a platform to only 28 degrees vs Lucid's 40 degrees. Putting it over the top are the shorter leg availability and headboard brackets.Lucid has been the best on customer service, 5+ stars. I want to buy two of these because the customer service has been so good. However, we may end up keeping one of each because the leg platform raise is better if you want to raise your legs a small amount as a side sleeper (which I am) and the Lucid100 is better if you want to lounge in bed to watch TV or are a back sleeper. In the pictures the white one is the Lucid L100. You can see what a great knee rise it has. The blue one is the Signature Sleep Gold all metal base which raises the feet as a platform and only goes up 28 degrees vs 40 degrees for the Lucid L100. Third picture shows the Lucid L100 with the 5" legs after we have taken off the original ones that came with it and put the shorter ones one on.

Unbelievably Easy Set-up and Excellent Comfort
This Lucid adjustable base has been great!Comfort:I love this adjustable frame for many reasons but the main reason is the relief it gives to both my lower back and my acid reflux. By raising the legs just a little an immense amount of pressure is taken off of my lower back. I finally am getting a good nights rest without a stiff back in the morning. I also deal with acid reflux at night and being able to elevate my head has really relieved that issue a great deal for me.The adjustable frame has taken a comfortable mattress and made it that much better.Set-up:The frame comes in a reasonably sized box with the frame folded over itself. You simply take the frame out of the box, screw in six metal legs, attach two clearly marked cables and then flip the frame. From there, the adjustable frame just needs plugged in with a mattress on top.Price:One of the major selling points for me on this frame was the price point. This frame has so many of the features only found in products multiple times the price of this item.Looks:The frame has a clean look. After placing sheets and the mattress on top of the frame of course most of it is hidden. For me, only the legs show and they have a nice modern look that do not stand out in any way. Plus they are nice and rounded to avoid those sharp corners that we all stub our toes on.Usability:The remote is clearly marked with six easy to use buttons. There are different buttons that do a few different actions and combinations of actions. You simply hold the button until you are comfortable with both your legs and back. The motors are quiet and fast enough that it is not an annoyance to move up and down.Things to Consider:The frame is somewhat heavy, I don't consider this a con as the product is durable. You will most likely need one other person to help you set up. It took a friend and me just about fifteen minutes to have it completely set up but it would have been difficult without help. The other reminder I have is that you need a wall outlet nearby. There is plenty of cord to get to an outlet somewhat far away but ideally you would want something close to one side of the bed to make plugging in easy and more importantly safe. All in all I can't stress enough how satisfied I am with my purchase. This frame is such a great combination of price, ease of use and comfort.
