The media could not be loaded. I have been holding off buying this drum because I couldn’t find anywhere there was a recording of its sound. Even Remo doesn’t have a recording on its site of this drum. So I made a recording that you can listen to here. I find the drum to be exactly perfect for what I’m looking for. It has amazing quality sound and the padded side is soft and lovely. The other side you can still crash waves and has a much louder ring that I might use for groups etc. I’ve been in the healing arts for over 30 years. I do energy healing, sound healing, shamanic practice, and use, tuning forks, druming, rattles, rain sticks, toning, and now I get to add this lullaby drum. So excited to add this to my practice. It’s exactly what I wanted.

This drum is absolutely beautiful and enchanting. Truly the sounds of the ocean are captured by this drum. Very versatile and several types of percussion sounds can be archived using the two different drum heads. One side gives a hypnotic view at the ball bearings inside the body of the drum. The other side is a very fine feeling leather. Both sides of the drum create unique timbres when struck with rubber mallets. It has an excellent weight to it. Not too heavy but not too light. Small children would struggle to hold this drum on their on. Larger students and adults will find the weight of the drum soothing to rock back and forth with. I am beyond happy to add this drum in my collection.

This drum has a beautiful sound! Soothing ocean sounds and a nice bass sound has made this drum one of my favorites!

I use this drum in my Sound Healing practice everyone says it's really cool and some people have said that it transported them to the beach. I love playing it. You can make it sound like gentle waves or crashing waves, depending on how you play it.
