I bought this tailgate mat for my 2011 Ford F150 as a companion piece to the Bedrug bed liner. Unlike the bedliner, the tailgate liner isn't an exact custom fit, but it's close enough to suit me. At $49.00, it seems a little overpriced considering its relatively small size, scant amount of material, and not being a true custom fitted product. It does provide the necessary scratch protection and the padding on the backside makes it easy on the knees. Installation was easy, using the included black heavy-duty industrial-grade velcro. It's been holding very securely now for 3 months, and is providing the protection and comfort as advertised. I'm reasonably satisfied with this product.

This tailgate mat is not what I expected. I thought that it waoul be a rubber mat. It is carpeting. In a sense, the carpeting may be as good or better than rubber, due to the heaft and securing it to the tailgate without screws, but I worry a little about keeping it clean. Time will tell. Also the price is a little pricey for what you get.

The rug feels so much better on my knees when accessing the bed and we can now sit comfortably when 'tailgating'. I gave it 4 stars because the material seems to stretch a little over time and have to re-adjust the carpet on the velcro strips unlike a rubber or plastic mat - once installed you never have to worry about.

I got this for $49, and glad I didn't pay more. It is nice, but no nicer than a piece of bound carpet that might cost $10. For some reason, I thought custom fit for my truck and the cost might mean foam inserts or something to fill the depressions in the tailgate so the knees are more comfortable. But instead, just a flat rug with velcro. I plan to cut some 1/2" plywood pieces to fit depressions, tape them down and then put on the Bedrug tailgate mat.

BedRug is a good solution, but the cost is high compared to value. I feel like I paid for a name when I wanted utility. I got the utility (no product complaint). It was a little expensive for what I got.

Have now had installed for 7 1/2 years. Adhesive still intact. No tears in fabric. Have had no problems. And I use the bed of the truck often to load heavy materials. Truck is kept outdoors exposed to harsh weather and still holding up well.

Installation was easy, and does a great job of protecting my knees against the unforgiving surface of the plastic bedliner when I need to hop up and crawl into my truck bed for whatever reason. Glad this was available on Amazon, because the shop I had my bed cap and bed rug installed by didn't bother to include this when I specifically asked for it!
