I'm giving this product a bad review because I can't even open the container. I bought the largest container possible due to an extreme algae problem, and city water that is high in phosphate. So I purchased a large container for my 3700 gallon pond. The mini-bucket has been sitting out on my patio, unopened, for over a week!! I even tried using a pair of pliers and the plastic pull-tab broke off. Ridiculous. This was very expensive and I can't even use it. I'll have to figure out some other method for opening this dang bucket but I will never purchase this quantity again. In the meantime, my algae continues to grow 😡😡😡

really didnt work that with brown algae in my 30 gallon salt tank

I've used several brands of GFO phosphate remover, several marked as "high capacity" and the performance of Rowaphos significantly outperforms all of them. Worth it if you have a high need. Absolutely worth it if you take the time to regenerate the media (holds up very well, I've used the same bucket of media dozens of times now).
