Hello! They do not, but because of the black background the contrast it's great and easy to see.

Q: Brought a cheap flip clock before and had terrible winning noise. Does this clock do that?

This is an awesome clock. I love it! I get lots of comments when people see it. It does not make any winning noise. The minute flips are absolutely silent. The only flip you hear is when it changes hours. You hear a quiet flip. This clock looks great and great quality. You will satisfied with this purchase!
