Brilliant and classic watch.
Brilliant watch and love the blue dial. The indiglo feature is great in low light and the watch is robust and fits on my 6.75 inch wrist perfectly. The second hand does not line up 100% with the markers but for the price this isn't a deal breaker. I changed the strap but only as a style choice...the strap supplied is good but I wanted leather not fabric. Overall great value for a classic military looking watch.

The ultimate budget Field watch
What can I say but simply this is an amazing classic field watch. It's got a bit of heft to it as well its not light, I like that. Very rebust feeling and the Indiglo feature is cool. The leather strap is great and long enough for my 8 inch wrist. It's looks amazing on wrist. I would love a Hamilton but this beauty will do me just fine. I do have a few other Timex Expedition watches but this one is my favourite with its even more classic field watch looks. They are all top class quality watches. Love Timex.

Solid watch but don’t buy it for the indiglo
Great watch - accurate, stylish and durable (scratch wise). Watch strap is great too. However, don’t buy the watch if you’re buying it for the indiglo function. I’ve had mine coming up to a month now and the indiglo function has already stopped working and I have only needed to use it once or twice.

Outstanding quality for the price. Feels great on the wrist and looks pricier than it is. God tier casual watch.

Oddly satisfying....for a short time
I've long been a fan of field watches and just collecting watches in general. What i like is their simple, clear and functional face that's easy to get the time in a quick glance. Generally speaking a field watch should be accurate, robust and water resistant enough that in can take whatever is thrown at it in the great outdoors This little gem from Timex is 'almost' perfect, just upping the 50 metres water resistant to 100 metres would have been very welcome, though not absolutely essential, just a shame. Although its quite light at 63 grams, it still feels fairly robust and the finish looks like it'll take a fair bit of abuse. Size is very small, up to most of my watches, though it has to be said that i think that 40mm sized watches seem to be that 'perfect' size, regardless of wrist size. I can't really describe why, but it just feels 'right', so comfortable and unobtrusive. The strap feels surprisingly good quality, which was definitely more than i expected at this price, the leather feels thick and durable. There are better spec'd options for less, I bought a similar lorus that has a stainless steel case (as opposed to this one being brass) and with 100 metres water resistance, yet somehow this Timex just feels so 'RIGHT' on the wrist and it looks more suited to the outdoors. I've had many Timex watches over the years and NONE have disappointed, this is without doubt one of my favourites from them. Accuracy is excellent (as expected), as it's a quartz movement, it'll ALWAYS be accurate and reliable, unlike an automatic watch, which aren't much use for everyday wear, why pay more for less functionalty, durability and accuracy? This is undoubtedly one of Timex best watches in its price range, the backlight is excellent and this is a truly fantastic 'taster' of a field watch in design and functionality. Update after a few months: Its taken me a long time to get round to writing this, but after around 5 months the battery died, so i bought a new battery thinking it would be a very easy job to do (like most watches) WRONG, the cover came off easy enough, BUT replacing it after the battery change was IMPOSSIBLE, it was so unbelievably tight fitting that the force needed to put it back on ended up smashing the mineral glass!! Timex clearly aren't what they used to be and this is undoubtedly the LAST timex I'll EVER BUY. There are VASTLY better quality watches from China that make this look like something that fell out of a Christmas cracker and for LESS money. NEVER AGAIN.

Excellent quality
This watch is great - it's a man's watch which looks rugged and is easy to read night or day. It's not small and it isn't one of them light cheap watches you can get for less. On close inspection the build quality is excellent, the materials are very good quality. The strap feels great, not like the horrible recycled plastic material ones found on some cheaper watch that look like this but are not like this. You pay for the name and they do what they do well. Overall 5 stars - very pleased with this watch.

Decent watch, but a relatively short lifespan
This is a perfectly good watch for the price, the inidglo light is great. I have owned mine for around 3-4 years. It has worked fine until very recently. However, the date has now stopped working - it sticks on whatever day it is set to, and the watch stops from time to time and needs a knock to start it again. Thinking this was a low battery, I changed it. The case is very soft brass under a thin layer of paint, and the back in stainless steel. This makes prying the snap back off without causing damage to the case very difficult. Changing the battery has not solved the problem, so I think the watch has reached the end of its life. This isn't bad for a cheap watch, but I wore a Casio F91W in the field as a soldier for many years and it still works after a decade with no issues. If you want a genuinely tough watch, I'd recommend one.
