Does this seasoning salt have msg? i know there are variants out there without msg and i want the old versions that have it included.

Hello - Johnny's Fine Foods has discontinued using MSG in its flagship Seasoning Salt products as of Spring 2016. Thank you for your question.

I need to know what the "spices" are too. What are the "spices" in the ingredients. I am intolerant to some spices. Thank you.

Here are the ingrediants frim the label on the bottlt: Salt, Sugar, Paprika, Garlic,Spices, Powdered Cellulose (Anti-Caking), No added MSG. manufactured in a facility that also processes product containing Wheat, Eggs Soy, Milk and tree nuts. This is from label on Johnny's Seasoning Salt. Hope this helps.

Per mfg:Some of our products are gluten and/or dairy free. Most of our products contain no added MSG. However, there is always the risk of cross-contamination. See the Nutritional Facts information on each product to see all ingredients and allergens. According to the label, this is gluten free.

So the 4.75 oz bottle has msg but the 32 oz bottle does not have msg? Confusing as the description on Amazon for the 4.75 oz bottle says both things.

Hello! None of the seasoning salts contain MSG and have not since 2016. The images may be outdated but are difficult to get updated with Amazon.

The best damn spice

Best kept secret

Johnny’s seasoning is the best! Buying this size is the best way to try it. Johnny’s products are extremely popular in the Northwest because Johnny’s products are made in Tacoma, WA. They also make BBQ rubs, spicier seasonings, etc. They also own and run 2 Johnny’s restaurants. Steak houses. We used to eat there a lot, when we lived there. I use Johnny’s seasoning on everything…chicken, steak, pork, eggs, sprinkle it on popcorn, etc. I use it instead of salt, usually. It’s difficult to find it sometimes so I’m glad it’s offered on Amazon.

Good Seasoning, but Way too Expensive

I now prefer this to any other season salt I've tried. It's not nearly as "salty" as Lowry's, which I like. But wow, the price per ounce here is outrageous. I need to find another place to buy this. Salt is great, price is NOT.

I had previously only been able to get this seasoning from the family in the US, but luckily its now available in the UK. It’s great we use it for seasoning lots of our favourites such as scrambles eggs, salads, steaks and lots more. Would highly recommend.
