Been dosing this stuff for almost a decade. On my 45 gallon I use half a big protein powder scooper, about the same for calcium I dose. Easy way to maintain your alkalinity. I dose it once a week on Mondays. Enough to maintain my levels. The next day I’ll dose the reef builders calcium enough for the week. Have had great results. My alk always stays between 6-8 and calcium above 400+

Reef Builder is the product I use to dose Alkalinity in my tanks. Buying it in such a large container is just for the sake of saving a few dollars. It's a good product, dissolves well and the results I get with it are consistent. The only problem I've found is that when it starts to dry our a bit, it can clump and leave a few little white crumbles that will end up in the tank. I've never had any problems with them or seen any damage associated with the little white bits or it would be a 4 start review. Thankfully when I order it in the larger buckets, it always seems to be fresh and I tend to use quite a bit over the course of a year.

I received the product with two different tags on it as shown in the photos; one stating reef builder as expected and the other label showing american cichlid salt which is a completely different product, after checking the content it resulted to be the cichlid salt. Just imagine adding this salt with aluminum and iron into my reef tank thinking is an alkalinity raiser.

This is a must for salt reef/live rock aquariums. Product will keep your chemicals in check and your coral/reef will love you for it.

Great price and love the size of the bottle. Had a hard time finding in a large quantity for the price.
