Footage was less steady than with iphone solo
The holder is lightweight and does not improve stability for me. My iphone’s image stabilization softeware is better without

Not great, but worth it.
Well, I saw this at CES 2016 and got one. It did not work well at all as in the fine print you need to have the LCD backpack or it does not balance properly. After making a few attachments I gave up. THEN... I was poking around on the internet and I found that the manufacture offered a weight kit for those of us who don't have the LCD screen. Once I got this, it works ok. I'm on my second one now (they are not that solid) however, they are inexpensive enough just to take with you and use. I now keep one GoPro on it 24/7 and it's just small enough and just good enough that after some practice it does improve the shot. I have several other steadicams; however, they are so big that I found that most of the time I did not have it when I wanted to use it. So this little guy solved that problem. As the weight kit is required, I have attached the picture from my order.

Only OK; not great
Well, I understood when I purchased this that it was not the best tool to avoid shakiness and decided to order anyway.Since then, I've played around with it, including using a the wrap-around accessory to hold the camera instead of the included waterproof casing. Different balance weight configurations, too. I read the manual and understood the need to practice using the thumb to help control the balance as well.Well, it's a trade off. YES, this item does stabilize shakiness, but the trade off is that I have huge sway problems. Up/Down shakiness is no problem, but as I walk, the camera sways left/right, even with trying to control with my thumb. For the price, I guess this Steadicam CURVE helps, but is not perfect by a long shot. I suspect the larger, more weighted stabilizers are a better choice.

Once you get your camera balanced it is hard to ...
Once you get your camera balanced it is hard to control it's movements. It took me several days of working with it to learn how I would have to balance and guide the focus direction whole walking in any direction. Now that I know how, I'm having to learn how to steady the upward and downward movements. Learning to steady a device that has a name as steady when it flip flops occasionally should not be the purpose. It does however work very well when in the locked position for point and shoot. The handle could be longer to support at least 4 normal size fingers for gripping.

Marginally useful
Had a really tough time deciding how many stars to give this one. For what it is, it seems to be well manufactured, using good quality materials and engineered well. It's purpose, design, and execution are a different story. Steadicams for larger cameras work better, simply because the weight of the camera and the counterweight are substantial enough that wind and other factors don't seem to interfere as much. The GoPro is a light camera, and this steadicam is pretty compact, so it was tough enough to keep it steady indoors let alone outside if there was any wind. It kept wanting to drift from side to side, so keeping a straight on shot seemed near impossible. It would have worked OK for short clips, but frustrating to use. I practiced quite a bit, but I have short patience for stuff like this.A note on the handle, I have very small hands, and the handle still felt small. I can only imagine how awkward this would be for anyone with medium to large hands.Sorry, but not worth a hundred bucks in my opinion.

Too small
Smaller than expected. My hand is too big, and I don’t have a big hand to start with. It does help steady a shot but not as indented.

The one accessory for my Go Pro Camera that I makes me want to use my GoPro more and more
This is really a fun product. I was able to get a few minutes instructions on the phone from Steadicam in Burbank, Ca. and the unit is a constant companion for my GO Pro Hero. It is uncanny how well this unit works to smooth out my movements, and once I learned how to point it and still allow its gimbal to work properly, the results were amazing. It really lets me get much more use of my GoPro than any other accessory I bought for it. I will try and post a video of some of my fun shots with it. I found this article written about the Curve by a Film Instructor everyone may find helpful, http://www.tvtechnology.com/equipment/0082/steadicams-curve-stabilization-system/274193.

Steady as a steadicam
Excellent quality as expected from steadicam. Loved the blue color perfect color for go pro. After balancing and fine tuning with my go pro 3+ with lcd, and lots of practice, it is very steady. I practice holding it steady while i am watching tv. Gonna use it on a wedding next week. For sure it will be a hit. Would gave given it a 5 except it took too long for delivery orherwuse its a 5.

Good product. Takes a while to balance
Good product. Takes a while to balance, I am not quiet sure I have definitely got it. Practice makes perfect. The booklet enclosed suggests I use a certain weights but they seemed to unbalance the stabiliser. Looking forward to capturing some footage.

Broke within one hour of filming.
The gimbal inside is cheap plastic and poorly designed. Other people have said it too. They break within a few hours. While it worked, the footage was great but awful design and build quality.

A little cheap for the cost but great
Mostly ok. It’s great but is a little cheap on the gimbal (I may make myself a metal one on my lathe)It does take a few minutes to balance properly but once you’ve set it up it’s fantastic

No easy to master. Regretting my purchase.
Not heavy enough or stable enough for me. I found it fussy and tricky to master and took it out to a convention to film but ended up taking it off in favour of a heavy selfie tick I had that somehow provided an easier stable platform.
