Easy DIY Solution
I purchased this unit to replace a finicky and annoying light assembly that has left my passenger brake light working intermittently for several years. After finally not being able to "fiddle" it to work anymore, my search for a fix landed me here on Amazon. For some reason the drivers side assembly fixtures are plentiful but not the passenger. Go figure. Purchased for my 2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE. I removed the old unit (pushed over the slide lock and unplugged). After cleaning the bay (car area within the assembly area), I just plugged in the new unit and it worked straight away! Yay!I will add to my review later if any issues arise but I'm hoping for the best!

Some complaints are true, but it does work well once it's fitted into place
For the factual vs. opinion parts of other reviews I'd agree. it is 3 external wired sockets to a clip that was well mated to the OEM female. It does not have an attached formed male plug at the bottom of the housing like the OEM as reported. It did come with bulbs that looked new and all worked despite average packaging. It did look visually like an OEM match on the outside. I didn't trim but had to push pretty hard to get it far enough in to get the two screws in to hold it. The 'tab' opposite the screw holes IS sufficient to hold it in place - I disagree with other reviews - but it is plastic, not metal like the OEM. it does provide metal screw shims externally visible - the OEM either doesn't have this or they're molded in and you can't see them. One mentioned the 'red' tab/clip to get the OEM plub out. What they don't say and I'll try to say better, is this red 'clip' needs to be pushed laterally away from the narrow end and slid towards the 'fatter' end which actually has a 'lip' probably so you can tug on it with a screwdriver. Mine was too firmly stuck to use the screwdriver, thought I would break it. However pushing firmly on the smaller side to slide the clip to the 'left' as you look at it properly oriented for the car was pretty easy. The device free hanging plug fit easily into the OEM female, but the 'red clip' doesn't secure it. Also this wiring harness on the outside of the lens makes it difficult to get it all into place and maybe impacted my ability to get it easily flush to accept the holding screws. Otherwise, once in place it works well and time will tell if use/vibration causes any issue with it. It does look OEM and the lights are equally bright as the remaining OEM one.

Is not an exact replacement.
This is not the same as OEM. Instead of the cable going into the back of this, and powering the holes, with replaceable sockets for the bulbs, this has a wire going to each socket. The specs say "Exact Replacement", and that's what I wanted. It fits, and it would work, but you're changing the wiring structure, and have excess pigtail to push back into the chassis.

Worked perfectly on my 1997 Chrysler Town & Country
Was skeptical as first considering the price of just $26.26, but I decided to go ahead and give it a try. I actually like it better than the original. From the outside you cannot tell it is an aftermarket; a perfectly detailed match to the other side tail light. Note* This Tail Light Assy. has (3) bulb sockets all wired to a pig-tail connector that will plug directly into the wiring connector from the vehicle whereas the original has a circuit board type with (3) lamp "plugs". It comes with all the bulbs already installed & ready for installation. Tip* my van's wiring connector has a small red locking tab that you must slide out of the way, about 1/4", to unlock it before you can then pull apart the two mating connectors. This unit is unbelievably inexpensive, looks great, worked perfectly and I had it installed in less than 15 minutes with just a Phillips-head screwdriver. Thanks to Amazon for the "This fits your vehicle" notice. Buy it!

Modified version, but it works
This unit was not exactly the same as the old unit, but it works. The old unit had an integrated wiring bar as part of the housing with separate sockets that plugged into the housing, and the wiring harness from the car plugged into the housing. This new unit had a wiring harness that attached to the wiring harness from the car and included sockets that plugged into the housing. The only problem was that the housing near the top fit tightly against the body of the car.

Came with bulbs, connect the wires, push it into place and put in the screws... Drive ON!
Very pleasantly surprised with the ease of this replacement.Removed the old broken Lens assembly and spent more time removing the bulbs (that I did not need) from the old assembly than it took to install the new one.Came with the bulbs included. Unbox it, connect the wires, put it in place and screw in the screws. Start driving!

They need to show both sides so people don't order unnecessary items.
This item works perfectly, the only thing is it doesn't show an image of the back. And on the web page, (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004I0E9YG/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_2), where it shows (Frequently Bought Together), it shows the sockets and bulbs which are not needed as this tail light assembly comes with everything. They need to show both sides so people don't order unnecessary items.

Ladies it's easy to install, I did it, you can too!!
I feel so proud of myself that as a female I was able to install this tail light myself in less than 25 minutes, this fit my 99 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE. The repair store quoted me $250 then dropped it down to $165 out the door, after looking online and reading reviews on Amazon I was convinced I could do this myself. I'm on my last 6 weeks to getting my Bachelors degree in Information Systems Cybersecurity, i'll be buying a newer car sometime this year, i'm not spending a ton of money on a tail light if I don't have to. Thanks Amazon!!
