Great dance shoe.
Purchased for my daughter’s dance competition and she loved them. Capezio is the top of the line and specializes in high quality items. You will never regret purchasing a Capezio item for a dancer. The most important part of dancing is making sure you have reliable dance gear. These are slip resistant, stretch easy to slide on and fits to size. Amazing value for the money.

Third time a charm!
I originally had this shoe in a children's 2. The price was half the cost of the adult shoe. The fit was snug but otherwise OK in width. Sadly, I left these shoes under a chair at an out-of-town dance workshop/event. It has been unavailable in size 2, so I ordered a similar style in adult size 3. It didn't fit well and wasn't the correct style. I then ordered this style of shoe in size 4. Shockingly, it was still too tight in width and length. After THREE returns, I took a chance and ordered a size 5. It FITS! I usually wear a children's size 1, so I am surprised this shoe fits as a size 5. This shoe style runs much smaller than your street-style shoe size, so order carefully.

Exactly what I expect from a Capezio shoe
This shoe fits true to size to match my street shoe size. It is comfortable and dependable. It is very flattering and easy to get on/off. It is sewn well and quality materials were used. I see this shoe lasting a long while. The placement of the heel under the foot takes a wearing or two to get used to but I don't even think about it anymore. I read reviews that the heel slips off and I would say that this shoe is like any other - if your technique is sloppy your shoe will suffer for it. If your foot placement is where you need it to be, and you are not using your shoe as a crutch to accommodate bad placement, this shoe will serve you well. I can see that the heel would slip out of place if you landed a jump or turn improperly. That's not the shoe's fault though. A character heel would do the same thing. This is a quality Capezio product that I would buy again.

Love them!
They are beautiful and comfortable, I am 9.5 regular and order same, could have benefited of a half size bigger, but I still hope to break them in more. Great quality!

Too loose in the heel!
I bought these to wear in a show. They are too loose at the heels so they slips around while I'm dancing.

Serves the purpose, not sure if the quality is the same...
This shoe is the best dance shoe for my feet as i tend to slide right out of the regular pedini. The elastic is great fo holding my foot in place. This pair does not feel as well made as my previous pair bought several years ago...the distinction between r and l was unclear, so I have just made it work. Still, this is my best option, so I am grateful capezio is still making them.

Great Teaching Shoe
I was just hoping this shoe would be a great replacement for my Pedini 321 which I couldn't get anywhere in my size and it is!! I ordered a US 9. I'm a UK 6 and usually buy 8.5 in US. The front of my foot is wide and my ankle is very small (weird feet alert!). I was worried the front would be tight and although the length I could probably have gone down 1/2 a size I think I might have needed the 9 for the front width. When they arrived they looked microscopic but it's all in the stretch material. When I put them on my feet they stretched to fit and felt beautiful. I don't think they'll stretch out to the point where they'll be too big for me. They felt beautiful to teach in and felt like good support as new Capezio shoes always do! I think they are going to be better than the Pedini 321 - we'll just see how long they last on a dance teacher's foot!

The website says to buy 1/2 size up. The comments say to buy 1/2 size up (or more). I ordered 7.5, 8 and 8.5, I'll keep the 7.5. Not helpful, but I don't even know what my shoe size is: I wear winter boots all winter (size wore off) and size 7 crocs all summer (need to buy small as they stretch). I buy shoes size 7-8 because sizing varies. If you're ordering more than one size and planning to return, then get your current size and 1/2 size up (and another half size up too would be most through). Then you can use the process of elimination to know that the size up or down was a definite no. They are snug. My big toe hurts a bit after wearing, so I think that's tight enough brand new. I think I'm happy with that decision. They weren't wobbly or anything while dancing (ie not too loose). Two other dancers bought 1/2 size down just because other brands are like that.... and they were so tight on their poor feet. One girl's were ripping at the second practice she wore them.

I loved the price and quality... we tried the 8’s but they were too small and the 9’s are a little big but she’ll grow I’m sure! They are great for wide feet!

Leather and comfortable with a heal that is just right. Made so small!!!! I usually wear 8, ordered 9 but could use another .5 up!
