Great size multiple uses
I had been looking for a stainless steel pot with a spicket for years. It wasn't until I thought of pasteurization and searching for pots with that that I came upon this pot. My first use was for pasteurizing seal oil for storage. It was perfect and eliminated having to lift the pot and pour. I have another use in mind and it will work great for that as well. Boiling willow bark for fish skin tanning. Same reason I won't have to lift and pour. And finally it will be a great pot for steaming, purifying fats or boil material to get the good stuff. Since I originally wrote this, the seal oil produced with the kettle was a hit! Alaskan King Crab season is starting and I look forward to steaming the crab in the kettle.

Manufactured wrong
You should take this off your selves. The pot has pre-drilled 1" holes for the 3/4" ball valve and 3/4" thermometer and will never seal and be water tight. I had the lock nut welded to the pot at an extra expense to save time it would take to return and order a different pot.

Garbage
Can I give this a 0 star rating? It leaks. Waste of money. Whatever combination of washers provided do not form a seal and it leaks.Tried returning. They refused.I tried fixing. Still leaks. So mad.

Need an adapter
The pot itself is great, you cant just open the valve though pressure is too high, needs a spout and hose, which seem to be pricey themselves

Difficult to seal the spigot!
Fundamentally, this is a good pot however, the parts that come along with it do not work as well as you might think. For the spigot, I could not get the nut on the inside of the pot because the stem from the spigot was not long enough. Finally what I did was removed the silicon washer on the inside and added tons of Teflon tape to the stem and tightened it up.. that worked... So, be aware that you may have issues with the seals. For the thermometer, no issues, the o-ring worked great.
