Laura Ashley, Caroline Collection, Bed in a Bag, King

Laura Ashley has always had the finest bedding sets and the Caroline is no exception, I still have my first bedding set from back in the ‘80s when she was alive, and I am still in love with it. This set is gorgeous and beautifully constructed, the stitching is just elegant, the comforter is thick and cushy just like I expected a Laura Ashley comforter to be, the shams don’t have a ruffle, but are beautiful without a ruffle, the size is perfect for the deep pocket mattress, I wish it came with the sheets, and the accent pillows but it doesn’t, I will keep looking for them, Once you fall in love with Laura Ashley, you will always love Laura Ashley!!

Gorgeous! Purchased the twin for one our guest rooms decorated with a French Country flair. The comforter and standard sham are quilted and fits a we shorter than pictured, yet covers top mattress to the bed skirt and lays nicely. (The description is accurate: providing size/measurement and only includes comforter, bed skirt and standard sham.) The colors are pale yellow with periwinkle blue roses and light muted purple Chrysanthemums (??). The reverse side and bed skirt are light blue ticking. On Amazon I separately purchased the Laura Ashley coordinating quilted light blue ticking 26" x 26" Euro Sham that completes the look.While it is heavy, an additional light blanket was added to snuggle through the Midwestern winter.Very satisfied with the quality and price.

We like this because the colors go so well in our bedroom. It was one of the few that we could find that was truly for a queen sized bed. Fits perfectly. However, it is rather warm. Sometimes it makes us too warm. But it is wearing well and still looks like new afer over a year of use.

We were replacing a Tommy Bahama comforter set. After having several comforters that were higher quality, I was extremely pleased with how well made this comforter was. The others had the blocking spread so far apart that the stuffing always seemed to move and bunch up in different areas. This Elizabeth Ashley comforter is so well blocked that it almost feels like a quilted bedspread but with the thickness of a comforter. I only wish Elizabeth Ashley would make comforters with tropical themes so so we wouldn't have just florals to choose from. Overall the comforter set is beautiful and I would highly recommend it.

We love the comforter set. It look great in our bedroom & is cheery and sunny. I ordered the Euro Sham set and found that I needed more than two of the pillows with shams. Since the shams came in sets of 2, I ordered another set--three would have been good, but I am using all four on my bed & it works. I have not had the set long enough to see how it holds up. We do turn down the comforter and do not sleep under it, and it looks great.

To say I am upset really does not begin to cover the way I feel about this product; let me explain. First, this is the most money I have ever spent on a comforter set and I expected quality merchandise for the price. In removing the tags which 'only a comsumer may remove' the seam pulled apart - not surprising since it was only sewn with a single thread stitch. I had read in another review that the product was not well put together..i.e. that the top and bottom fabrics were only stitched together with the lining at larger than optimal intervals. So, when I laundered the comforter, according to the instructions attached to the seam on the comforter, I was very careful. However, the lining bunched up and is impossible to make lay flat. I have smoothed, pinched, pulled, flattened, stretched, poked and smoothed again to try to get the comforter to look presentable. Instead all my efforts have resulted in a bed covering which looks like a bunch of children jumped and played on the bed and it was just left that way....NOT the presentation I desire! Again, BUYER BEWARE!

I bought this comforter nearly a year ago, and I really wish I'd read more of the reviews before I bought it. But, I was excited that I could finally afford what I thought was a decent comforter and my excitement got away from me. A little background: I worked in visual merchandising at a department store for a couple years in my younger days. One of the job duties was to set up store displays of the merchandise, including bedding. I handled a good amount of bedding during that time, and really admired the Laura Ashley goods. I left that job in 1995. Things seem to have gone down hill since then. So here are my gripes:1. The sizing is inadequate. I ordered a queen comforter, because I have a queen bed. It barely meets the bottom of the mattress (and this an old school mattress, standard thickness, not a twenty-inch-pillow top-mattress). For two people, that may be okay to get by, but throw a dog or two on TOP, and somebody's gonna be catching a draft. So, if you want to order this comforter regardless of the other issues, order a size up.2. The batting/fill in this comforter bunched up in several places the very first time I laundered it (according to manufacture's instructions). As noted in other reviews, it's only tacked down in a few places and the tacking is woefully inadequate. Trying to get it smoothed out again after laundering is a major chore.3. Poor quality workmanship - The accent fabric ripped apart from the main fabric after a few washes. I hand sewed it back together... Then shored up the stitching where it was coming loose in other places. The stitches used in the manufacturing process were enormous (which equals not sturdy). Also, the decorative quilting in the floral parts of the fabric comes out super easily. The pillow shams that come with this still look pristine, because I use them decoratively and hardly ever wash them.Bottom line: If you plan on using this comforter decoratively, i.e., you're a realtor and need to stage a house to list for sale, order a size larger than you need, never wash it, and don't let anyone touch it.If you plan on using this comforter in a room that's actually lived in, then choose a different comforter.
