America's Finest
Like many other San Diegans who viewed Mr. Padre as a hero, I wept when hearing news of his passing. Wolfe has provided Tony Gwynn fans, baseball fans, and fans of kindness, a collection of memoirs from Tony's teammates, coaches, family, and friends that really shed light into how extraordinary of a player and person he was. Familiarity with the game of Baseball is not a necessity, as the level of positive morals, character, and charm alone make this a must read. The cover that folds out into a poster was a great surprise.I would easily hand over the amount this book costs just to buy the poster the unique poster that comes with it!

The author did fine job asking various people about Tony
This book is a very simple read. The author did fine job asking various people about Tony. The benefit here is that his life is painted in a very consistent manner. Though not a typical biography, the author allows those that he is interviewing to paint a picture of Tony Gwynn.
