Great sewing machine for beginners! I have not sewn in a long time, so I had to remember basics, but the video that is attached in the product description is super useful! Mainly, need to make sure that you threaded your string exactly how it is shown in the instructional video and there should be no problems. For my first project, I used the sewing machine to fix my ripped jacket and it worked great! Sewing machine came with a black and white string, so if you need more colors, you need to purchase them. Make sure to get good quality string, because I tried to use one of the pieces that come in those mini sewing kits, and the string kept breaking as it was super thin and not fit for machine sewing.

This machine has everything a beginner needs for sewing and the video hosted in the product page is good enough for a beginner to start with. With the help of the video and few other youtube basic videos, grandma was able to start sewing after few trial and runs. She had to spent bit amount of time to thread the needle initially but once she got used to it, it was done easier and sooner than before.We learned that the foot pedaling is good to control the sewing and built in LED light provides adequate light source. Since the machine is of light weight, it was easy to move around the house and fits in handbag if needed to bring in some place. Only complaint so far we had was the sound of the machine but she got used to it after a week and doesn't complain much about it now. After a month, she is better at straight line sewing with bags, pillow covers and small crafts.

This is my first sewing machine, it’s so mini, great for my small apartment. As a beginner, I found it was very helpful to read through manual and watch the operation video before giving a try. So far, I have used it to make two sets of my daughter’s doll clothing. We have great fun designing and making the clothes for dolls.

I bought this sewing machine because my mother needed it. It's lightweight, easy to use and worthy.I figure I've got to buy lots threads.

I've tried everything I can think of and done all the research online I could and every time I try to work on my project this is the result. I've watched videos, read instructions, and had to do online research because the instructions that came with the product were not helpful.

Started using it today and highly recommend this product to beginners. It’s lightweight and very easy to operate. The foot pedal is a big plus and convenient.

Lovely product, my only issue is that I can’t figure out how to change the bottom bobbing tread, there’s not enough into on operating the sewing machine
