Priming Lotion Leave-In Conditioning Detangler 8.5 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)

This product is so good! I have thick wavy hair that’s greasy on top but dry at the ends. I normally can’t wear anything “leave-in” or my hair will get greasy and heavy, and just looks gross. This is different, my hair is finally wavy without being frizzy! The only disappointment is that it doesn’t smell nice like the shampoo and conditioner, I almost thought it was rancid until I saw others saying the same. Other than that it works great and is very moisturizing.

This leave-in primer is a one of a kind. Not only does it help to prime your hair for any other Oribe product you use to finish your hair (I also use the finishing smoothing cream) but it also helps to prep your hair for other products! I occasionally use a LUSH-brand leave-in (R&B specifically) and this primer helps that leave-in soak in and makes my hair feel softer than ever before! The scent of the primer is that of the shampoo, conditioner and softening cream- light and exotic, but pairs well with other product scents. I use about a large grape sized dollop, spread all over my hands (between the fingers and even the back of my hands a bit) before running all over and through my hair. I let air dry for just a minute or two before applying my next product. Can even be used alone on an off-day where you shower & soak your hair (but don’t shampoo) and just need a touch of moisture afterwards!

Photo shows my 2nd day hair: Oribe makes the absolute best hair care I’ve ever used. I use: primer, silkening curl creme, gel I apply them in that order, to soaking wear hair, and then I gently diffuse. My hair looks curly, shiny, and healthy. No crunch!

Pros: -Beautiful bottle -Scent pleasant, not overpowering Cons: -Does not moisturise -Does not detangle My curly hair has gone grey. And dried out. Was using coconut oil, but it's heavy and greasy. Decided to give this a try. Washed hair in evening, applied product, set. Woke up in AM - couldn't get my fingers through my hair let alone a brush, totally matted. Hair slightly softer but still flyaway and dry. Tried it 3 times. Same experience every time. Back to coconut oil.

The package arrived in a broken box, it had clearly been previously opened from both ends, also the bottle itself was unsealed. It looked like it had been slightly used. I wouldn’t doubt it was returned several times due to the product’s awkward smell. I read reviews from Sephora, and people seem to complain a lot about this product’s bad smell. It’s my first Oribe product so I cannot attest if other Oribe products have the same issue. However, I decided to keep it because I needed urgently a detangler for my long, wavy, high porosity hair. Also because of the great reviews from customers who do like them. I’m embracing it’s natural texture, I don’t flat iron or blow dry my hair any longer. For this reason I don’t have split ends while avoiding hair breakage and loss. So, I wanted something that would define my waves and keep it detangled, and protected from humidity. After my first use, I was very impressed with the results. It defined my beachy waves, and my hair still feels soft to the touch. It also added nice livelihood, bounce, shine, and volume. My hair looks great! It does smell a tad funky when I squeeze the bottle to dispense it, but when I smell my hair I don’t smell anything bad, so it seems to dissipate quickly. I gave the review a 4 stars because I paid full price for a NEW luxury beauty product. I think Amazon should make a distinction in price (discount) and at least make customers aware if they’re shipping something returned and/or used.

Wonderful product for dry hair. Lasts a long time. The stars aren’t working correctly. This is a 5 Star product.

I've only used it once, but I had to note how drastically my hair changed from the singular use. I have type 2/3 hair (some waves, some curls/ringlets - hair cannot decide) and I recently colored my hair. I've been in need of a leave in conditioner to not only rehydrate my hair, but also give some life back to my curls. And as I said before, after one use, my hair has become hydrated, soft, and my curls are oh-so defined I am shocked. The smell of the product is alright, I combined other products with Oribe so it's hard to say if the scent lingers. All in all, will be adding to my must-have's for my wavy hair.

This is one of the best hair products out there in my opinion. My hair is softer, more manageable, & has grown significantly. Highly recommend!!!

I was advised by my hairdressing friend to purchase this and was a little worried it might be too greasy and thick for my hair. I also read a lot of other reviews stating that the product itself smelt really weird and off putting. BUTTTTTTTTT.... I love it! I only need to use a little pea size amount for my thin, naturally straight, blonde hair. The smell of the product from the bottle was weird not going to lie but once you put some in your hands and rubbed it through your ends, it reminded me of a nice floral scent. It does make my hair softer and tamed the frizz at the top. If you have thick hair, use more than a pea sized amount. Would purchase this again!!

Was really looking forward to this but on opening the battered box and the unsealed lid, the smell was awful and not something I would expect for the expense. Will be seeking a return

Oribe products are amazing, this leave in conditioner does not disappoint. I have very curly fine hair and was afraid that it would be too heavy, it is not. My hair can get so dry and frizzy and when I wash, condition and leave this in, it is way less dry and frizzy, amazing product, it is expensive, but lasts a long time and is worth the price.

Just got this leave in conditioner to replace the olaplex leave in- my old go to until I found this option. Oribe has safer ingredients as rated by ewg skin deep but that’s not the only positive. I found the Oribe actually made my hair more soft and less frizzy than my old faithful olaplex. So happy to have found a cleaner/ safer alternative.
