Yes - the picture needs updating - but the description is correct and it's the thread that I needed anyway. I have a ball head on it right now for macro shooting and I can move the desk with it...

As described and great value for the money.

One of the best flat-surface clamps I've found. I use inside pianos for live miking. Threads are NOT as currently shown – they are fixed 5/8"-27, no extras.

There was a little foam or something at the top of the stand, probably to protect the table from markings and such.It's useless. It rips off too easily, and compress too much to be of any use. Plain metal would be the same.Plus, I find myself to have to tighten it quite often, it does not hold that well. However, it's good enough if you just want to have your mic mounted somewhere, and don't touch it too often.

Really great quality components and precise threads. Works like a charm. Protects the surface well, and holds adequately. The slightly additional cost compared to other brands is worth it for the high quality. Note that surfaces must be flat and parallel to one another (that is, this will not clamp to round or pipe-like surfaces like mic stands).

Aside from working but damaged treads on the lead screw, the photos and sparse description is misleading. The photo shows a 3/8" mounting interface when in fact, we are seeing a 5/8" to 3/8" adapter mounted to the clamp which is sold separately or otherwise is not provided with the clamp. The interface is actually a 5/8" - 70 threads per inch.. The clamp's description may have said it is a microphone mount, but no dimensions were provided.

The clamps worked fine, received them quickly as expected
