Typical stunning Fallkniven workmanship.
I own maybe a half dozen Fallknivens from small pocket folders to their top of the line Santoku and they are all a joy to behold and more importantly to use. This folder is flawlessly executed, the action is as smooth as can be, lockup is solid and the edge scary. They use steels that are as good as that industry offers. Spendy, sure is, but the quality is second to none. I know this probably reads like a commercial but it is the candid appraisal of a lifetime knife guy.

Very well made
My observation is that this is a very well made knife. Very finely constructed and very tight tolerances. It has no wiggle/play at all. Very solid, but also buttery-smooth operating. The ironwood grips are very well refined. One critique about this knife would be the bail. I wish it were rounded and more centered instead of being squared and offset, but I knew this before purchasing it. Pricey? Yes. Worth the price? Eh… not so sure about that, but I still wanted it anyway. I don’t know if I would carry this for every day use (it’s too nice and I have other knives for that). But this would definitely be something I’d carry for special occasions.

Very nice knife, but not worth the price
I love knives and had my eye on this one from Fallkniven for awhile. I finally bit the bullet and got it a few weeks back; here are my thoughts:Pros:- well finished. The knife is clearly manufactured well. There is no play, action is smooth, and everything works as it should. Knife is perfectly balanced.- real ironwood: the scales are legit ironwood which is a great knife scale. Attractive looking and extremely hard.- awesome design - this is like the child of a classic trapper folder and a fixed hunting knife. Great for outdoor use.Cons:-Expensive - while the knife is well made, its price is nearly double similarly well finished knives of the same quality.- NOT made in Sweden - Fallkniven is a Swedish company but they outsource this knife to be made by Moki knives in Japan. Let's be very clear, Moki knives are great knives, but if you are thinking you are getting something along the lines of a nordic manufacturer this is not the case- mostly cheaper steel - this knife has a laminated blade, which means it has a harder steel sandwiched between two softer, more flexible/corrosion resistant steels. Overall this is a positive, but the outer steel, along with that of the main body, is all 420J steel. This is the most basic and cheapest stainless steel you can find. The inner steel is takefu cobalt steel, which is a very hard and expensive steel, so the steel holding the edge is fantastic, but the rest is not. I wish they used a 440 or 12c27 instead but sadly no.- the square bail is terrible - the only design flaw is the needless addition of the squared off bail at the rear of the knife. While at first it looks fine, you quickly realize this thing flops back and forth against the knife making constant clacking and clicking, and it is awkward while holding. I finally had to tie a paracord strap to it to stop it from jiggling around. A simple brass lined hole would have been way better than this design, but apparently this square bail is a signature feature of many Moki knives. I hate it.- "possible" QC issues - I actually had to return the first knife Amazon sent as it had a cracked scale (see picture). The knife arrived with the box already opened, so its unclear if this was a Fallkniven QC issue or this knife was previously returned, but nonetheless it had to be sent back for a second. All in all this knife is very good, but it is really only worth about 50% to maybe 70% of its actual cost. The high price is less about the overall quality and more about paying Fallkniven as a middleman for Moki. For this price I'd at least expect the outer steel to be of higher quality, but alas it's mostly cheap steel surrounding a quality core steel on the blade. If you just love this design and are less worried about cost and more so about the knife overall you shouldn't worry, the craftsmanship on this thing is good, but it's ultimately a well made Japanese knife in a cheaper steel and just shouldn't command this top dollar. There are better or equal knives out there for less for sure.(For full disclosure I did keep this knife; I like knives and I like this design, but I do feel I overpaid for what I got and wanted to be honest here).

Not as Sharp
Neat little knife opening is Butter smooth. Comes with a leather pouch but has no way of Securing it so it just sits loose in the pocket with no way to make sure it's not going to just slide out of your pocket Modification is needed. Now the thing that bugged me it's not that sharp out of the box Maybe i have one that a new hire was put on Sharping duty i have no idea. Any rate I had to Run it on my diamond and Strop a few times to get it hair popping. If im Paying 2 bills the darn thing better be sharp besides that it Feels very sturdy and could last you a lifetime. Just a little Caution an Boarder line Paranoia when leaving home with it so i dont lose a 200 dollar knife.

Great design and customer service
Well made knive. Expensive for a pocket knife, but the design and materials make it worth the money I ordered from Chicago Knive Works and they were very responsive when I sent a question. The knive I received was in perfect shape.

A blade to pass down through generations
This is the standard high end workmanship of fallkniven. Heavy well balanced weight for its size maximizing the ease of use. Of course super sharp upon arrival and easy to maintain. I carry this everyday. Worth the money, worth the wait, worth owning. Despite heavy use even when outdoors and damping it remains just as functional as day one remaining tight with no loose or failing parts. I've had it for 2.5 years now and am confident in my review.

Poor QC on a $200.00 piece
Received the knife with an "action" that loudly scratched and squealed. Best guess is that there was material residual from the manufacturing process that was trapped in the pivot assembly and bushings. That may be excusable for a $25.00 piece, but not for a $200.00 piece. In addition, the detent was very soft and allowed the blade to be deployed with a wrist flick. That makes it illegal in certain areas.
