MISTO Brushed Aluminum Oil Sprayer, individual, Silver ($7.73) I have started using avocado oil and I wanted something to use to be able to spray it in small amounts for cooking. Visiting the grocery store I would find spray oils but all of them were in non-reusable packaging or used propellants. I saw this and wanted to give it a try. This is not what I expected. With the cap you have to pump it up and down in order to activate the mist ability. The instructions indicate only filling the container half way for it to work properly. I have used this a couple of times and it works great. A nice fine mist that coats the pan, just how I like it. I like that this is reusable and easy to clean as well. No complaints (thus far).

I have had this now for at least 5 years and it is still working well... So well, in fact, that I just purchased another one! I use one for olive oil and one for a home made herbal body spray, so they are for very different uses and the constitution of each is quite different: one is oil and the other is water and alcohol. Both work without a hitch every time. It is a useful size and it holds many sprays before needing to be refilled. Follow the directions and only fill it half-full-- if you overfill it, there is no room for the pressure to build up to get a nice, fine spray. When my oil master needs cleaning, the fine spray degrades into a thin stream. Hot water on and in the tiny plastic spray tube mechanism will flush it out. Just fill the unit with hot tap water and spray the water thru until you get a mist again. No dishwasher!!! The only thing I dislike about this is that when it is full (properly HALF-full!) the pump cover sits atop the sprayer loose and crooked. It looks funny on my counter top. Other than that tiny OCD complaint, you cannot beat this little device for years and years of consistent service and healthy eating (if you are using it for olive oil!), or misting (if you use it for other kinds of misting). It's even fine for plant misting! _____________________ADD-ON COMMENT! I purchased another one of these products. It jammed using simply water, not oil. I tried to clean it out, to "fix" it, to re-seat the plastic spray tube with the sprayer top, but alas! within 3 months it was thrown out. I do not know if the quality of the product has detereorated or if I just got a dud, but one experience is wonderful, and the other was a complete waste of time and money.

The thing that caught my eye at first was the stainless steel exterior. It gives the sprayer a sleek, modern look that matches my kitchen. I use it for olive oil and have used it to replace cooking spray altogether. It’s healthier and better for the environment too, which is something I’m trying to be better about. I’ve been able to reduce my paper towel use with Swedish dishcloths, reusable silicone products are great for eliminating plastic, but I struggled to find a replacement for aerosol sprays - until I found this sprayer! The way it’s designed, the pump is also very easy to use. It’s very smooth and releases a spray every time to push it down. Keep in mind though that you do have to prime it first by pumping it a few times. Also, the bottle can’t be too empty otherwise the liquid won’t be able to travel up. Make a habit of opening the plastic ring on the top after each use, that’ll help to prevent the nozzle from clogging. The most important thing however is to keep the sprayer clean. If it stops working, chances are there’s a blockage or something so you’ll have to wash out the canister. Just use soap and water and give it a good rinse afterward and it’ll work like new. Don’t put it in the dishwasher though, theres a high chance the heat will melt the plastic that’s inside of the stainless steel. Tip: Don’t fill the sprayer all the way to the top! It needs a bit of air in order to build pressure inside so that it’ll work properly. Ideally, you want it to be around half full, that works best. One thing that I would have liked is a way to see how much liquid’s inside without having to twist open the top. That would make things easier but it’s not a deal breaker. Also, I’m not sure if it would be a good idea to use anything heavier than olive oil as it’ll probably clog. For my purposes however, it works great and I am pleased.

The first fill and use of this product was perfect. After that, it streams instead of sprays. I tried recommendations for cleaning, but no mist. I purchase this because I appreciate it’s replacement of store-bought disposable cans. However, because it is ineffective and unreliable, I do not recommend this.

The best Oil Spray and I highly recommend this product!Such a big help in the kitchen!

Having two is great, I have one with chilly oil and one with normal olive oil in.

Había comprado anteriormente un producto similar de otra marca, pero al cabo de un tiempo se desfondó regando el aceite debido a que solo era aluminio por fuera y por dentro era un bote de plástico. Este NO es el caso, este producto tiene un bote de aluminio de una pieza, por lo cual nunca se desfondará (a menos que le conectes un compresor de 100psi). El acabado es muy bueno, se ve muy bien en la cocina. En cuanto al funcionamiento: llenas el bote hasta la mitad de aceite, lo cierras con su sello de hule y su tapa de plástico roscada, y colocas la otra tapa (la de aluminio) encima y bombeas con esta unas 10 veces hasta que sea difícil continuar, la quitas, diriges el chorro, presionas y ¡listo! Funciona tal cual debe funcionar.
