Nickle free = rash free
This nickle free buckle will not cause the belly rash on sensitive loved ones. This helped clear up the rash from the old buckle. Will buy again for all the belts!

Just Two Annoyances
This buckle was purchased to add to a brown belt that is EXACTLY 1-1/2 inches wide. Overall I’ll give it four stars for the price of ---- as of the date of this review. The buckle will be worn with light use mainly in an office environment so it should not break. We’ll see how long the finish will last. The buckle was packaged well enough to prevent scratching during shipping and handling.A little more precision could be done in the manufacturing process. The buckle is advertised for a 1-1/2 inch belt. There is noticeable gap between the belt and the top of the buckle when it is attached to a 1-1/2 inch belt. See photo. The wearer will notice, but maybe not another person unless they were doing a close inspection. And finally the name “BELTSISCOOL” is stamped on the inside of the buckle. See photo. Since it is on the inside I’ll go ahead and wear the belt. What a stupid name.

Nice belt buckle
The buckle has a nice distressed look to it which I like. I put it on a Hanks Everyday leather belt and it fits pretty good but unbuckling the belt buckle was really difficult. The prong on the buckle is too long making it almost impossible to unbuckle. I luckily was able to really pull on the belt to get it to unbuckle without damaging my belt.Do not use this buckle on a Hanks The Everyday leather belt. The prong is just too long to unbuckle. As someone else mentioned already, on the back side of the buckle it is stamped “beltiscool” which is a really dumb name. But luckily you can’t see it when wearing the belt. For the price it is a great looking buckle, but unfortunately it doesn’t work my leather belt.

Lies nice and flat for a comfortable fit.
What you don't see in the product pictures are the side profiles. The pin down the middle is curved slightly in the opposite manner to the slight curving of the buckle. The result is that when your belt is threaded through, the buckle lies fairly flat. On top of this, the squarishness of the buckle makes the whole thing actually fairly narrow, so it doesn't cut into your dunlap.

Great for the price
First of all, the product appears to be very well made and looks just like the picture. I've worn it for a few days now on a heavy duty belt that supports a lot of weight, in addition to my gut, and it is handling it very well. The only downside is that the tip of the prong isn't shaped the same as traditional belt buckles so in order to remove the belt you must double the belt over itself and pull, then remove the prong. It took a few tries to figure out. Look at the picture of the product carefully to get a better idea of what I'm trying to say. This on it's own isn't really a downside, except that this does put a little more wear on your belt. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but I need this particular belt to be very stiff and this does seem like it would accelerate wear (not for sure yet though).

Safe for Amish Community. Not Flashy.
I am an Amish man who lives in a tight knit community of people who shun shiny new things. I get a stomach ache every time something breaks because I know I'll have to buy something shiny and new to replace it, and then I'll have to explain myself to Jeb and the Yoder boy's. Even Martha get's up tight, but she understands that I don't mean to be prideful about things. This belt buckle looks like it's 30 years old already, which was a HUGE relief last Spring when my old one finally broke. Nobody even noticed that I had a new buckle. Thanks God I can be humble and still have new things.

Nice looking, but...
When I first got this buckle in my hand I loved it. The look was exactly what I wanted and it has a nice, heavy construction. My complaint (and why I rated this item 3 stars) is that I find this buckle makes the belt difficult to undo. Impossible you say? I would have said the same thing until I experienced it for myself. I found that as I was trying to take my belt off, the prong of the buckle hung onto the hole and didn't want to let go. I think the issue is that the tip of the prong bends upwards rather then bending down like all of my other belt buckles do. (It's tough to see in the item's picture, but if you look closely you can see that the prong bends in one smooth arc up rather then having a second bend at the tip.)This may seem like a silly complaint, but why would I want to have a harder time taking off my belt then need be?UPDATE:I found another belt buckle with a similar look. It is well made and as includes the keeper as well. 1 1/2" (38 mm) Nickel Free Single Prong Square Belt Buckle Set

Couldn't actually use it...that was my fault though.
I had a belt that I liked but the buckle broke. Came online, found this and it looked pretty much identical to the original buckle so I bought it. It seems nicely made and felt heavy duty...problem was that I discovered the belt I was trying to fix was made in such a way that I couldn't actually replace the bucket without undoing all the leather stitching. So I couldn't actually use this. Still...it seems nice.

Securely hold my pants without rash
Buckle very well and I no longer have nickel induce rashes but it came with a little spot of rust, was able to wipe most of it off decided to keep it since living without a belt came with high risk of indecent exposure

Beltiscool Men's 1 1/2"(38 mm) Square Belt Buckle
I had never realised until recently that it was possible to buy a leather trouser belt and a buckle of your choice and simply 'snap them together', using studs and without using screws to make the join. I chose this Beltiscool Men's 1 1/2"(38 mm) Square Belt Buckle to complement a 100% Real Leather Celtic Stag 'Snap On' Belt and they make a handsome pairing. I have also purchased a leather trouser belt for attachment to a buckle fitted with screws and the result is much the same except the buckle looks a little more bulky. Fitting a leather belt to a buckle fitted with screws is time-consuming and quite a difficult task. Persistence is essential for assembling this type of belt. I therefore much prefer the 'snap on' variety of belt because it makes it possible to switch buckles within a couple minutes. Swapping buckles is not a practice proposition for a buckle fitted with screws, which I regard as a 'once-only' process. Fitting this polished steel buckle to the black Celtic Stag belt was accomplished in about 15 seconds.

BELT ARRIVED FAST AND WORKES JUST LIKE A BELT
I have a lot of custom belt buckles , trouble is they are very bulky and heavy to wear. I decided all I really need for day to day use is just a plain buckle . This one works for me its easay to fit on all my original belts and have just ordered another one in brass . All good.
