I liked the material and workmanship. It is difficult to get the size right the first time even after following the sizing instructions. If I were in his store I would have tried on the 7 1/2, 7 1/4 & 7 1/8 before finding the right size. difficult on line.

I've taken this hat around the world many times and love it. Well worth the purchase. It's stylish yet collapses easily in my luggage, and the full brim keeps the sun out (I'm bald so that's important!). The simple cord keeps it on in windy conditions. I loop the cord behind my ears and under my neck so it stays on no matter which way a gust of wind hits me. The stylish rivets at the top provides all the air anyone needs. This is a quality hat that you'll love (and no, I don't work for Tilley!).

I lost my old one after 15 years. This is just as nice. Not a fan of the added Velcro pocket.

I purchased a Tilly hat years ago and it has held up just fine. I liked it so much that I just purchased one for my brother. He called me to say he love it. My wife thinks it looks terrific and her response is what counts.

Same price or a little higher than the made in Canada one that I bought last year. Made in Canada came with a lifetime warranty and perfect fit. Made in China says guaranteed for life on the hang tag but not the hat. Made in china hat fits poorly for the same size and feels cheaper. For sure it is not the same 10 oz cotton duck fabric that my original one is. The new hat was returned to amazon immediately. Tilley has now lost a customer. The worst part is that If I ever claim for the lifetime warranty on my original hat, the next one will have been made in china.

I bought my first Tilley T3 while living in Canada in 1975. Tilley claimed I would get numerous compliments. I did, there, and for years after returning to Wisconsin. Finally wore it out and went for a decade or more unsatisfied with other hats. Found another T3 on Amazon, love it and, not that I need them, the compliments have already begun.

I think it is the lowest hat top they sell, but the brim is a little larger than I wanted. I kept it anyway. Tilley makes high quality hats.

I ordered this as a replacement for my 20-year-old Tilley T3 model. It finally wore out, and this is precisely what I was looking for.
