great design, good light output but it doesn't always work....too bad, I wanted to like this light
Almost a great flashlight. I'm a light addict and have many high end lights. I was looking for something small with decent output just to stick in my glove compartment using cheap AAA batteries instead of the more expensice cr123's that my other small lights use. This light has some good features. I like the stainless construction, the knurling gives good grip without being too agressive for a pocket. The steel button clicks surely on/off and is easy to switch between light modes. But...... It does not always work. You have to play with how loose or tight it is screwed together to make a good contact. When installing a fresh battery it never, never, ever works. You must play with the tightness and I end up having to hit the flashlight on a table until it decides to work again. The light works about 90 percent of the time without having to open close and hit the light to get it working. It would be a great design if it actually worked. So It has become a light that I play with in the garage when I need a little light to find something that dropped on the floor but I have to keep a reliable light in my car should I need to do the emergency fuse replaement or tire repair. Just can't trust this light to work when I need it. While the build quality (except electronics) and light output from a single AAA is good ..... the reason to have a flashlight is to have light when you need it and this light is just not relilable. I find myself thinking "So is this gonna work this time" every time I go to click the light on.

Almost Perfect for me.
This is the primary flashlight I carry in my pocket. Pros: It is not painted so it will retain its appearance. I like Solitare mag flashlights but the color chips off. Three light settings, the lowest is perfect for reading a book in the dark. The highest illuminates my backyard to find the dog. I took a rubber grip from another light and it fits snuggly over it giving it a better grip. The only con is the keychain "O"ring. If you install it though only one of the two drilled holes the ring will turn the light on and off whenever you move the light. I ran the ring through both and it solved the button problem but does not flex. See picture.Update: flashlight became intermittent and finally died after one year infrequent use.

Don't hesitate if you want a heavy duty key chain flashlight!
This key chain light is very small and very bright for its size. Being that it is made of stainless steel it does have some weight to it as expected. The switch is metal and works very well with one handed operation. It is not at all hard to operate and mode selection is as easy as tapping the switch while the light is on...High, medium, low then back to high! I am using a dollar store (2 for a buck) alkaline AAA battery and am very happy with the output range. I plan to try a 10440 battery as I have seen some reviews that have said that they do work but you have to limit the use on high due to the heat that is generated. I am just curious as to how much brighter the light gets and I am willing to take the $10 hit it I burn the circuitry or LED out by using a battery that is not explicitly mentioned by the manufacturer in relationship to this light. I will try to update this review this the results. I recommend this light and believe it will last a long time if used with an AAA battery as it is built very well. The light came packaged in a nice windowed metal box with three replacement o-rings, a replacement lens, a tiny lobster claw with split ring to attach to a key ring and an instruction/warranty sheet. Very happy so far with this choice of a light.Update 10/4/16I have been using the light with a 10440 battery for over a month now and it has been working flawlessly for brief periods, a few minutes at a time. It does get very hot very quickly on high. It is nice to have such a bright light in such a small an inexpensive package. Very happy with this light!

One of the smallest AAA clickies you can get, good output, wish it was aluminum though
Nice light! I heard this was a somewhat copy of the DQG Mini AAA, since it was on PRIME i jumped on it. very nice for the money, LED is well centered, everything seems very well made. It is almost exactly the same length as the Thrunite Ti2. If this light had momentary on and mode memory it would be my favorite. The High-Med-Low switch options is kind of disappointing. I would have preferred Low-Med-High, Also I wish they made this in aluminum because the stainless version is actually pretty heavy for such a small light. Good output, on par with the Thrunite Ti3.If you really want to wow people, stick a 10440 lithium ion in it, I'd guess about 400-500 lumens...no kidding, it blows away an eagletac d25a running a 14500, so I know its north of 330 lumens. Don't run it on high for more than 10 seconds, it will probably melt soon after.Another tip, if you have a thrunite ti3 you can swap the head onto this! I had to use a keychain loop from the parts bin because the ti3 has more threads, but it works! Slight gain in overall length and you can have a clicky ti3!!

So far so good. Loving the clicky tail switch
So far so good. Loving the clicky tail switch, as these are not common on most other lights this size. Easy operation, 3 modes of use, very bright. Durable, looks nice.***UPDATE 9/18/15***Light is very inconsistent when using now. I have to twist the head back and forth until it "finds" where it should be to stay on. Then I can cycle through the 3 brightness levels with the tail clicky but even then the light will flicker on and off. It seems to me that there's some sort of issue with the battery not making full contact somewhere but everything seems to look fine to me. I'm trying to contact Thorfire/eachine but when I call the customer support number on their website I get a message telling the number is unavailable. I want to like this light but at the moment I have no choice but to give it 1 star at least until I get a replacement or Thorfire fixes it for me. I've only had this light since May of this year.
