Sometimes you need to fiddle with it
I think this thing is great. There is absolutely no way I can thread a 10 needle anymore (even with readers). It does take a little fiddling to get the tiny eye to line up just right. It does help to make sure you're using a fine thread also. It can thread a needle but isn't a miracle worker. Cheaply made or thick thread will not work

Delivered 8/21/21, broke 10/6/21
This is truly the greatest gadget for hand sewing and English paper piecing, really a time saver. Until it breaks. I was so careful with it as it seemed a bit fragile, but it now won’t close or thread the needle. Of course I’m outside the return window.I can’t recommend.

It really works!
After being laid off this summer, i decided to pull out my UFOs and spend some spare time finishing them. I was dismayed to find out that my eyesight at 60 is not what it used to be. I use a #12 quilting needle to hand quilt and of course threading is difficult, but I used to be able to at least get the needle threader through the eye-no more, couldn't even make out the tiny wire. I bought this and a few other styles to see what would work. This product works great. It took a couple of times to figure it out-the instructions aren't all that clear, but once I figured it out, it works perfectly every time.Trick 1-line the needle eye up as instructed, facing open eye up when inserting needle, insert all the wayTrick 2- where to put the thread?? In the notch between the clear plastic piece and the lite pink piece-there is an open "V", all the way down to the dark pink piece.Trick 3-when you squeeze the trigger, you will see the thread wiggle forward-that's when you know it has moved through the eye-remove carefully as only about an 1/8 to 1/4 inch of thread is pinched through the eye.Very please with this product. Love the needle storage on the opposite end and magnet on the end.

Perfect for those small eye needles, threads perfectly.
Where has this been all my life?? I was really struggling with threading my tiny eye needle size 10 even with my 100 wt thread. It would sometimes take me 15 tries! Enter research to find a needle threader for fine needle eyes. I almost went with a "table" top model, but decided I dont sew at a table, but at the couch in the evenings. This thing is terrific! My needle stays exactly as I place it in the hole, and the thread goes through the FIRST time with plenty of room to make sure I can pull the end through. The key is to place needle in hole, and gently press the lever to determine if the hole is accessed. Then, thread and press and WOW, threaded needle no angst or swearing, er, mumbling under my breath. Seriously, I am in love, and even if this does not last, I will buy another. It came with a tube of needles, but the tube does not fit in the handy dandy holder. The space that is made for holding needles is very large/wide but probably safe to store them there. I also like the magnet on the end to pick up needles.

Best threader for small hand needles
Love the threader, needed to use YouTube to fully understand the directions. Unfortunately the included instructions are rather poor. But on e I understood how to use, it it absolutely the best I have ever used in over 50 years of sewing.

Not worth the money
I'm not having a lot of luck with this needle threader. It does not get the thread through the needle eye quite often. Over 50% of the time I have to depress the threader and reset the needle more than once for it to work. I have other threaders that operate the same as this one only they are larger and rest on the table and they never miss getting the needle threaded on the first try. I bought this one because it is compact and is easy to carry to quilt gatherings but it appears that's the only reason for owning it. It gets left behind now.

THIS IS AWESOME,
THIS IS AWESOME! I have purchased many automatic desk top needle threaders, Clover and Bohin were the best until this. There are so many pluses: it really does thread a size 12 quilting or applique needle, the needle slot is magnetic so once you insert the needle it stays in place and in the correct position, it has a thread cutter, it has a place to store extra needles, it has a magnet on the bottom to locate dropped needles and BEST OF ALL, IT HAS REPLACEMENT CARTRIDGES!!!!!
