Since the squirrels chewed the log, I have been putting the Jammers in a squirrel-proof suet cage. The little birds love not having to share with larger birds.

I have the Songbird Essentials log feeder without perches that has holes that go all the way through the feeder and the suet plugs I purchased previously (from Kaytee and another brand I can't recall) unfortunately were too small/thin and would slide right out if pushed on. These, however, fit great. I do wish there were 4 in a pack (one for each hole) instead of 3. The other drawback is the price. The weight is actually less than the weight of a standard suet cake but they cost considerably more than the $1 or so I usually pay for a suet cake. So I've started cutting up suet cakes for my log feeder to save money. That said, the birds, especially our woodpecker pairs, really like the Berry N Nut plugs so if the price is the same as before, I'll add some to my order next time I order from Amazon.

My birds go crazy over this! I have a log feeder that has shallow holes in them, so I cut each log into five small portions and fill the holes. This is the second time I have purchased these and will have to order more since they love it so much. I did an experiment and filled them other holes with a different brand. Well, they are still there and this stuff is gone! Great product, great price!

I had a problem with grackles and starlings emptying my bird feeders within a few hours of filling them. I saw the Log with holes in it one day at the store and figured I would see if the big birds would like that instead. Buying the Log Jammers online is a little cheaper than the store, plus with Prime, I get free 2 day shipping. The Log Jammers keep the big noisy birds out of my regular feeders, and it at least takes them a few days to peck out all the suet from the log.

Nice product, poured so you may seperate to install in log holes. Helps if you warm in microwave to soften only! I seperate and warm pieces on paper plate 15 to 25 seconds depending on power setting. This makes plugs soft so you may fill hole easy.Birds attracted are Downy woodpeckers, Red- bellied Woodpeckers, yellow rumped myrtle warbler.

I use suet all year as there is are several woodpeckers in my area who love it. The berry and nut bars seem to be a favorite for all the birds. I've seen chickadees, cardinals, bluejays, wrens and those cute little nuthatches greedily gobbling these little logs. They seem to eat it like candy and it disappears rapidly. I'd buy this product again.

I had bird feeders in an open patio on the side of the house, so I could watch the birds and tv at the same time. Unfortunately, this attrcted mice. WHAT A HORROR!!!! I use these suet plugs in hollowed out logs hanging from the ceiling. The birds LOVE it and there are NO MORE MICE!!!

Nice logs and simple to use. They melt easily when in package. Recommend keeping them in fridge or using right away. Recommend.
