Purchased as a gift for a friend who does crafts. She LOVES it! She especially likes the various attachments that allow for more precise placement of hot glue, as well as the variable temperature. While it is a little more expensive, she has used it nonstop for months and says it has outlasted the cheaper models available.

Recently I bought a glue gun at a big box store for half the price and I'll compare this Boswell gun to that "brand X" gun. Brand X takes a long time to heat up. Boswell says give it about 3 minutes. I found 5 to be more realistic. The stick advance mechanism on brand X just slid along the stick and I had to push the stick along. This Boswell has a more positive advance mechanism. I had to push the stick only to get it started. The Boswell came set at 160 deg. C (about 350 deg F). I did not change that setting yet. It seems quite sufficient. Perhaps there are other glue stick formulations that will work better with more or less heat. It's nice to know I have the option to change that now. I have read that impurities in glue stick formulations might account for nozzle tips clogging. Brand X seemed to be clogging. Wondering if the Brand X 10" glue sticks might be the reason I was so disappointed in the brand X gun, I used the same sticks in the Boswell. They worked just fine so the problem was not the stick formulation but the brand X gun. I have not used the glue sticks that came with the Boswell. I prefer 10" sticks to avoid having to add new sticks. I use a lot of glue to mill wood on my planer sled. I need just a temporary bond and hot glue is just that. The Boswell works great. It may cost twice what brand X costs but you get what you pay for. I recommend the Boswell.

Good for DIYers. Love the attachments and the extra length. It could do with a better stand to stabilize it on you work space. The longer attachment also interferes with setting it down with included stand. Otherwise, I am happy with it.

This unit is great but I had the misfortune of having it not heat up after 2 weeks. The company was on the ball & replaced it before they got my defective one back. I mailed it out & had a zero charge on my replacement. 👏Thank you for great customer service.

I have used this a number of times over the past few months and it has worked well. Versus a smaller, lower-power glue gun, it definitely allows me to do longer beads/seams without stopping. The higher temperature glues work better. One thing that surprised me is that the heat-up time isn't much faster but do not consider this a problem. I feel there is more mass to heat up versus the small one which helps on the larger jobs. I do find myself using my older smaller one for those quick little jobs where I keep the low heat glue loaded and just leave this one on "high." Oh and the tip variety was more useful that I expected. The long one let me glue something from the inside. Remember that to change tips, it has to be hot. The kit includes one of those flat wrenches but I put a 12 mm full-size wrench in my glue gun kit to make it a little safer to handle the hot tips. Oh, an a leather glove! BT Recommends

Awesome glue gun. I set a timer for 3 minutes and it is ready to use. I love the various tips. I was needing one with a small precision tip and this did not disappoint. It does drip like other glue guns but that is not a deal breaker. I wish it would've came with a drip piece, No issues with inserting a new glue stick. I did notice that it gets down low before I had to insert a new one so that was a plus. I like that it came with tools to change the tips out.

The only good thing about this gun is that it gets very hot and can easily feed multiple sticks as quick as you want, without skipping a beat. Unfortunately, that is shadowed by temperamental functionality, low quality tips, and a frustrating temperature knob. Within my first week using it, the elongated tip broke. (Separated from the base of the tip) I reached out to the seller, and kudos to them for quickly responding and sending a replacement. Now, a couple months later, the gun decides when it wants to work. Have a feeling it’s the potentiometer/temp control knob, as when I fiddle with it, I can sometimes get it to work. Not sure if I got a defective unit, but not thrilled with the product.

I love my new Glue Gun!!! The nozzles are easy to change with the included wrench and the variety of nozzles is great. I've gone through many glue guns in my life and have always had just the one nozzle on the gun. It's fun and very useful having so many to choose from. The gun heats up very quickly. I'm really happy with it. If I had any suggestions to make, it would be to have a case for the gun and accessories and maybe have the kickstand be a bit sturdier. Would I buy it again? You bet I would! In a heartbeat! Best glue gun I've ever had.

Great product, disappointed it didn't come with a storage box, delighted with the gun itself. The temperature setting is very handy and very responsive. Ideal for bigger projects as the glue stays pliable for longer.

Great working glue gun, heats up very quickly, trigger mechanism is smooth, my only dislike is that for the price there is no storage box to put the gun and it's attachments.
