Rio Beach Hi-Boy 17" Suspension Folding Backpack Beach Chair - Aluminum, Pop Surf Stripes

I did a lot of searching for the "perfect" beach chair, and I thought I found it in this one! Backpack straps, storage pouches, no bar across the front of the seat, high seat height, etc. The storage on the side of the chair is different than pictured - it's on the other arm - and it has a mesh cup holder that's fairly deep, a large flat zipper pouch, and a velcro pouch sized for a cell phone. I am very disappointed that there IS a bar across the front of the seat that hits the back of my thighs, contrary to the two answers to the question on the listing. It was somewhat uncomfortable when sitting in the chair for a few minutes to test it out; we'll see when I take it to the beach in a few weeks.

I was all about the sand chair until I could no longer gracefully get out of one. I push this one down in the sand a bit so it is not so high but not so low as a sand chair.

Chair exactly as shown, the only issue is the threading on the back of chair around the bar, it hurts to sit back against

The lower leg bar digs into my legs , the height is perfect .

If the cord that tightens the seat through the grommets would’ve held up the chair has everything you would want for comfort however Laporte construction The seat sunk in and I only weigh 168 pounds and it was difficult for me to get out of the chair poor design also I neglected to hold a huge Corton it came in as I had no place to hold it and the cost me $20 to ship it back by UPS

This is the worse chair I have ever had from Rio. My daughter bought it to take to the beach with us at the end of July. We are I. Florida and on our first day it warps!!!!! It is the worse chair I have ever seen. I personally have used many Rio chairs but I recommend to Everyone to pass over this chair when looking for a good made beach chair. I may never purchase another Rio chair!!! Wouldn’t you know it. It’s a couple days late to return it to Amazon. I’m not happy with them either!

Good looking chair. A lot of extras. However, front seat bar cuts into my legs. I am 6ft and 184 pounds male. Appears to be well constructed except it needs more cushion on the seat.

Haven’t tried at the beach yet but love the height
