Griddly Games, Wise ALEC Junior, STEM Board Games, Fun for Growing Minds, Ages 4+

I wish I could give half stars, because I'd give 4 1/2 instead of 4. We found this game really fun and very accommodating. We could change the rules or have teams/no teams... there was a lot of versatility available here. The cards were very easy for young children to decipher without adult help. There were games that were easier and games that were a little less easy, making this ideal for families with multiple children. The Storytelling game encouraged imagination and improvisation. It is a really nice game to have on hand and very portable. The game box is small and has magnet closure to help keep things together. It's very durable. We loved this game and had lots of fun playing it. The only reason that I knocked off a star is that some of the cards had some printing error, where the cards perhaps stuck together a little and some of the ink got pulled up. It's very minor for most uses and doesn't really deserve a whole star being removed. However, for the Memory game, it would perhaps give older kids a bigger advantage than they might normally have should they recognize certain cards by their specific print patterns. I also would have liked to see some slightly harder Charade cards. For example, instead of cards like "cry" or "sit" that are simple motions, maybe something more like "swim" or "throw"... just something a little tougher that can still be "read" without help. But overall, we love this game and will be playing it again for sure.* I received a complimentary product to test for this review.

Obscure questions difficult to play.

We have enjoyed testing our knowledge, performing silly assignments, and playing this game as a family....we travel a lot as a family so this has become a travel staple...it can be played in the car as long as you realize that some of the assignments cannot be completed within the confines of a minivan...it is great when we go on trips in the motorhome because its something all the kids can play and it provides a fun activity when the weather isn't cooperating...its a great learning tool also.

This was the only expansion/travel pack we had left to purchase in order to have collected them all. I never regret buying these packs because they are so full of fun facts and learning opportunities for kids and adults alike! I highly recommend not only this pack, but all the others as well! Don't forget to purchase the original full-sized board game.

Our second buy of the Wise Alec series. Great way to keep the kids entertained while teaching them new stuff. And, adults and kids can team up to play this and have some fun along the way.

This set has questions that are challenging enough for adults! I love it because my daughter doesn't have to feel alone in her learning journey. We both learn something new every round!

another fun game for taking on trips etc.

In the small box you get enough to play a matching game, memory game, charades type game, and (my favorite), the storytelling game. My wife and I do a lot of gaming with special needs children, mostly those on the Autism spectrum, and games like Wise Alec Junior are just what the doctor ordered. The colorful components, visual aspect of the games, and the storytelling really open up the mind and get these kids having a great time.We've had a blast playing with our kids, and using it in our gaming group. It's nice to see quality kids games put out that don't insult the intellect of children.
