I had a different model eq and it started distorting and got very sensitive at power button. Took a chance at Boss since they've been around for a while. Best decision ever! The sound quality was quite surprising. Did a rush install to ensure functionality but after hearing it I can't wait to finish tuning system. Sounds amazing, can't beat price!

AWESOME ! The Boss AVA1210 is a superb EQ ! It's brought my entire Boss system to a whole new level of crystal clear clarity that is unbelievably spectacular ! I love every piece of my Boss system because it all works like a CHAMP ! I think Boss has EARNED every 5 STAR review and they have certainly earned my business because they have proven time after time that a high quality sound system doesn't have to cost a fortune ! The Customer Service Team is fantastic and always helpful in answering my questions. The secret to building a great system is easy. 1) Match your components (Buy the right amp for the right speakers) 2) Follow the wiring diagrams provided in your owners manual or look on-line for your unique system. 3) Always use the heaviest gauge wire whenever possible. 4) Grounding is always critical. Be sure to use heavy gauge wire on a clean chassis connection. 5) Kick back and enjoy your amazing Boss Audio System ! No, I'm not getting paid and I'm not getting a discount. It’s quiet I actually series the low end and high-end together to give me five filters, which then you have banding increases and decreases due to the fader options. I may get another one or two.

Installed this in my custom car audio setup, and it’s been a great addition. The 7-band EQ offers fine control across the spectrum, and the knobs are smooth and easy to adjust even while driving. Having front, rear, and subwoofer outputs makes tuning the system feel more personal and complete. What really impressed me was how much cleaner and fuller my sound got after tuning—especially bass response. That said, the build quality feels a little light, and some of the labels can be hard to read in low light. Still, for the price, this unit punches well above its weight and hasn’t given me any issues in daily use.

This is legit worth every dollar. I have a 1200 watt RMS tharamp amp running a 1500 RMS watt massive 10" sub and without the equalizer it hit okay. But with the equalizer it makes it able to hit so hard it would blow the sub if I turn it up more than 60%. This is the perfect size to mount to the side of sub box or maybe in the console. U will need one more set of RCA cables. U hook the equalizer up with the RCA from deck. Than run the cables out of the equalizer to the amp. U can hook this up to multiple amps at once. Definitely get what people mean when they say the only people to not use an equalizer are the ones who never have. Also green or red word lights behind knobs.

Boss AVA-1210 (7-Band Equalizer) Excellent Product, I can appreciate the price to quality ratio of this product. It was my first Boss brand purchase. It’s been around a month now and I am pleased with the function and sound quality in comparison to my stereo system without this equalizer. Sub outputs sound to be at a lower volume than the the front and rear outputs. All in all, great product.

I'm not actually rating this product because after I purchased it I found I couldn't use it. This is because the product description neglected to mention this product is ONLY for car stereo systems and requires a direct 12V DC connection into a car electrical system. There is no AC converter or normal power connection. This is not the product's fault and I can't characterize the product. However, beware if you are looking on using this component for any home audio application. Hope this help's someone else avoid an incorrect purchase.

Great product

You don't need to spend big bucks on an EQ this is all you need, you can waste your money on more expensive EQ's if you want it for show, if you want to adjust for music look no further, this is my 7th boss EQ I use on my car or friends car.

Needed to add an equalizer/volume control to my class A amplifier. Controls are nice and smooth and the sound is excellent. iPhone is the input source and output has plenty of drive for the amplifier. It also has separate volume and crossover for an amplified sub woofer. This is intended for automotive use so I added a 12VDC wall adapter and had to add a jumper from +12V to the turn on input to keep the unit on (this normally goes to the vehicle switched ignition). Just what I needed - very happy.
