Was nice
Gave to my sister as a gift for when she was about to quit her job and start her own business. I thought it was a good gift, but my sister just leafed through it and set it aside. Oh, well. I think the title is awesome, if that means anything...

Fun, inspiring read
Wow. To say this book is inspiring seems trite. It's fun, invigorating, and it's a kick in the pants. I hope the inspired feeling doesn't go away. You can read it 100 times, and you can have lots of ideas, but the key is to act. This book will tell you how to make it happen in the simplest terms. So simple that it makes you wonder what was stopping you before. That's what makes it so brilliant. Changing your life and bringing your idea to fruition is not rocket science. It's hard work and passion and creativity and tenacity. Put simply, Miki is a badass. She's tenacious. She didn't let anyone stand in the way of getting what she wanted. But she's also fun and creative and her stories make you realize that you can do it too if you go for it, learn from your mistakes, don't give up, smile, and have a little fun along the way. Easy right? I've always had tons of crazy ideas, but I never knew what to do next. Now I feel like a game plan is at my fingertips. All I have to do is take the first step. That's the hardest part, but there's no excuse at this point. This book is a fun read, but it's so much more. I think it could inspire anyone, whether or not they want to start a business. It's all about following your passions and living the life you want to live, in your personal and your professional life. She asks lots of questions. Don't just breeze through them, really answer them. Don't just read this book, share it. The advice is spot on. I plan on sharing the advice with my friends and even my kids. Share why it inspires you, why is resonates. At the very least, you'll get to read a story about a cool girl who is doing some really cool shit. And it will make you realize that maybe you can too.

I love this book!
Miki is the real deal! How can you not be motivated after reading this book? After years of working in a unsatisfying job I bought this book to see if it really is possible to "Start my own business and live happily ever after". From the minute I started reading I knew I wouldn't be able to put the book down. After getting halfway thru the book on my lunch hour I got so interested in the restaurant Miki created I left work early and drove 1 1/2 hours to experience her place first hand. Being so impressed by her place, the food and service I replied to the email newsletter I had signed up for earlier that day and wrote that I was actually having dinner in Wild and enjoying her book. Not even thinking anyone would even get my email I was blown away when I got an email back. From Miki herself! She replied saying she was going to be there in an hour and for me to hang around and say hello. I did just that and I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Miki and Radha. These girls are two of the coolest and most genuine people I have ever met. They made me feel so at home and talked to me about my dreams and passions and got me so pumped up to start taking action. They shared some of their stories and hung out with me like I was a life long friend. It was extremely motivating meeting them. Awesome experience and like Miki said, it was because I took some action and drove down there that it all happened. For me, this book isn't just for twenty-somethings who are just starting out, its also for people like me, who are just ready for a change. And who need a kick in the ass to get started. For me, this book is that kick in the ass. I'm going take it with me everywhere I go as a reminder to keep taking action. Thanks Miki and Rads. Keep Doing Cool S***!

Inspiring book for first time, aspiring entrepreneurs
Miki Agrawal shares her story as a young, ambitious woman on her road to entrepreneurship. It was an easy read (I read the whole thing in just a couple hours), and a fun look inside the ups and downs and hard work that go into reaching your goals. As someone who has no business experience but has an interest in breaking off on my own eventually to start my own company, I found this book to be super inspiring! Miki shows how it truly is possible to make things happen with little to no experience. A lot of her advice is kind of no-brainer advice (ex. make time for your side projects outside of your day job), but she shows how she applied to those lessons to her own life and how they helped her achieve her goals -- which she always met! Miki shows that with hard work, dedication, positive attitude, and working your network is the key to making your dreams come true! I definitely recommend this book to anyone who has sparked an interest in entrepreneurship - whether they know exactly what they want to do or not.

Fun - but not so deep
First, I want to say that I did enjoy reading this book. Miki has a really fun, I'm one of your girlfriends, writing style, and for the first third of the book I felt pretty engrossed, inspired and interested in her story. I also liked some of her tips on eating and feeling good, and how much she stressed that one has to take care of themselves. And I liked how she summarized the lessons to be learned from her experiences, and that she asks the reader to do some homework and reflection for themselves. However, as I continued to read her story it started to feel like, "Oh, Miki Agrawal, the girl who succeeds at everything she tries. Everything this girl touches turns to gold." Most success stories come with a lot of failure, and rejection. I'm sure she probably experienced a lot of that too. But because she hardly shares that, except for the soccer thing (which wasn't her fault, of course), the book starts to feel inauthentic, like she's super-human. Not only is that not relatable, but there is little to learn from here. It also felt like she had a lot of easy opportunities handed to her with her upbringing and family that most people don't have. After a while, the book starts to feel like one big self-congratulatory pat on the back, and less about giving really practical advice. Once again, I enjoyed it, but I think she needs to dig deeper to give the real story, if she wants to truly inspire others.

Couple of good snippets of advise
The author writes in an auto-biography style pointing out her successes and how to get the best from situations, and also her pitfalls with tips on how we can avoid them. This is not a reference book by anymeans, but some good tips for careers or starting up a business. Easy to read with useful points clearly summarised in each chapter. The downside is how she sometimes waffles on a bit, and you're waiting for the point of the story. Also, I stopped reading before the end, as the book seemed to lose direction, and just try to talk about general things as though she is now a life coach. Perhaps others would get more from the end, but I was reading it with the view of potentially starting my own business.

Great as a business book, not so strong as a life-guide
The four stars are given for the first half of this book, where the author tells us her story of opening her own business. There are truly great insights, tips, challenges, and advice for anyone who is even dreaming of opening their own business. This book challenged me to think of my work and my business in a different way. It inspired me to get off my butt and actually start doing cool s*** already! And then there is the second half of the book. The part where Agrawal takes us through how to build friendships, how to be fit and healthy, and how to keep romance alive. The author clearly loves her life - which is great! But I found it quite sad this sort of instruction manual on how to be happy. Her choices and her lifestyle work for her, but it's naive to assume that she has found "the right way to live". That her happiness can be universally super-imposed onto any individual? I'm not buying it.Read this book! Please read this book! It's great. It is positive and inspiring and encouraging and funny and clever. But I recommend skipping the chapters on the author's love-life and travel journal.

Really good read. If nothing else just good to read ...
Really good read. If nothing else just good to read about someone so brash who takes what they want and doesn't ask permission.
