Mach One 3/4-4/4 Violin Shoulder Rest with Leather Comfort Strap

Having dealt with neck and shoulder pain from playing without a rest for several years I finally decided to put my humility aside and try using a shoulder rest with my playing.Several friends of mine had recommended the "Mach One " brand, saying that the quality was top notch and the amount of adjustment was unparalleled. Purchasing the Mach One shoulder rest was probably one of the cheapest and best investments I have made for my music. It allows you to hold your violin in a better and more correct position, it feels secure and has made a noticeable improvement in my playing just from it making me use proper technique.Whether you're a classical violinist or an old-time fiddler like myself, I can't recommend this rest enough. Money well spent.

I tried this shoulder rest since it was highly recommended by another violinist. The comfort is OK, but it has a tendency to pop off the instrument as the feet don't grip the edge of the violin well enough.

Perhaps you can make it stay on the instrument. It kept slipping off and also the shoulder pad was not comfortable.I had to return it via Amzon which are fantastic in the service and itegrity and after my refund, I purchased aBon Musica which works great, it is more expensive however is very adjustable for shoulder and body types.You get what you pay for.

I've bought several shoulder rests, but this is the only one my daughter used. my only criticism is I wish it was thicker.

I adore this shoulder rest on my violin, so much so that I tried the same style for my viola. The curvature makes for a stable, comfortable fit without being too rigid.

Great shoulder rest for my 16 year old son...who is very picky about things like this! He has no complaints and this is the one his teacher recommended.
