Worth it.
I think the book is a very valuable review and learning asset. I am a new nurse, and currently using it so help me study for my ACLS, CEN and CFRN certifications. It has been an excellent review of some of my previous schooling, and has greatly expanded my knowledge. The only downside to the book is it occasionally uses acronyms that are unfamiliar to new RN's and looking them up takes time away from reading/studying the material.

best cen review book
I have read this book is very focus and it is on point with the important information and the need to know. I really like the quick review scenario. overall is a very good book for brushing up and review of the systems and all possible trauma and emergencies that can presents on an everyday basis.

Great Content and Layout
I enjoyed the bullet point and outline formats and thought that the graphics were nicely placed for further explanation. I am happy this book is helping me reach my goal of becoming a CEN. I think maybe more than two practice tests (maybe three total) would be an improvement for those learners that like to take practice tests to feel comfortable.

Good review
This text is a comprehensive readers digest review that I feel confident would prepare me for by CEN exam in the next 2 weeks.

Great book
us: I love the spacing between the lines because it allows me to jot down notes. This is the first material I will be using to study for CEN and hopefully it will help me pass the exam.

The Best of the Worst
So, let's start by saying that the CEN exam is absurd. With that premise in mind, this is the best book of all the bad books. What does that mean? It's at least organized and gives you a sense of how your CEN exam will be scored. What do I hate about it? 1. Much of the information is arcane and not relevant to what we do (any ER nurse who conducts a full 20-minute mini-mental exam on their patient is NOT an ER nurse with whom I want to work). 2. Some of the information is flat-out wrong (e.g. A "KUB to check for edema" is NOT the test of choice for r/o pyelonephritis in 2020; you would NEVER give Digoxin to a patient in a thyroid storm--you would give Propanolol, etc. ad infinitum. I cross-checked a bunch of this stuff with ER docs I respect and they were like "whaaaa???") . What do I like about it? Again, it's decently organized and it has a full-length test at the back with answers and explanations.

Comprehensive
The material is so comprehensive. I learned a lot from the book. I have forgotten some of the nursing information already, but this book helped me to review the nursing concepts and improved my knowledge.
