Cloud b Ocean Projector Nightlight with White Noise Soothing Sounds | Adjustable Settings and Auto-Shutoff | Tranquil Turtle - Aqua

I bought the Cloud b Tranquil Turtle Night Light right before I gave birth to my second son. It was to go in his nursery which was turtle/ocean themed. Overall, I absolutely adore this night light. Upon arrival, the Cloud b Tranquil Turtle is packaged in a beautiful display box with a small story book inside of it about Tranquil Turtle. The packaging would make this great as a gift for any kiddo or expecting mother! As far as the night light functionality goes, the waves displayed onto the ceiling are very soothing and tranquil for little ones, and was even as soothing (if not even more-so) for me as an adult! You can either set the wave display to move across the ceiling as though the light refracting in the water is actually moving, or you can set it to stationary. In order to get the full effects of the nightlight, the room has to literally be pitch black. If there is even a slight bit of light in the room, it will interfere will the underwater lighting. The music has 2 settings; 1 is tranquil music for your little one, and the other setting is the ocean/waves crashing on shore (with occasional seagull sounds). The music as well as the night light both function on a timer, so you don't have to worry about burning down the battery by leaving it on all night. At the same time, it would be nice to have the option to leave the night light and music on as long as you desire without having to turn it back on after the timer is done every time. My 2 complaints with this turtle are that: 1) The bottom of the turtle where you install the batteries does not have very good securing. There is a small velcro strip to hold it closed, and the stickiness of the velcro faded within the first 6 months of owning the turtle. The flap that covers the batteries always seems to be hanging open now. It'd be nice if it had better securing. 2) The turtle drains battery power FAST. If you love to use this regularly, like I did for my sons, expect to go through a lot of batteries. This turtle is not energy efficient at all and no matter what batteries I used, I seemed to have to replace them almost every week. If buying this turtle, I highly recommend in investing in rechargeable batteries. Even with my issues with the Cloud B Tranquil Turtle, I absolutely adore this nightlight, as do my boys. I would recommend this product in a heartbeat.

I highly recommend the tranquil turtle for anyone who needs a little help getting a young child to sleep. Worth every penny for us! From the time she was an infant, my daughter has not been able to fall asleep on her own. As much as we tried, we always had to get her completely to sleep and then sneak out of the room. At 2 1/2 years old, we decided it was finally time to teach her to fall asleep alone. The tranquil turtle has been a miracle! I had her pick it out with me online and she was very excited to await his arrival in the mail. We told her, "Sleepy Turtle will be your new bedtime friend." We kept the rest of her bedtime routine the same, but then instead of laying with her in the dark for an hour waiting for her to fall asleep, we simply turned on the tranquil turtle, asked if she preferred the waves sound or the music (she prefers the music) and kissed her and Sleepy Turtle goodnight and left the room. Much to our surprise, we did not have a big battle! We've been using the turtle for about two weeks now and it has worked from day one. At most, she might call out for us once, but with a little reassurance she settles down right away. It also soothes her back to sleep if she wakes up in the middle of the night. She absolutely loves him. He sleeps in her bed and she'll even carry him around the house during the day. The light projections are beautiful and both the ocean sounds and the music are very soothing. I was afraid the 23 minute timer wouldn't be long enough, but it's never been an issue. Our daughter is always asleep before the timer shuts off. Sleepy Turtle is now an indispensable part of our bedtime routine!

I bought this out of desperation, as most people probably do that spend almost $50 on a stuffed turtle and rushed Saturday delivery. I needed sleep. I needed my 9 month old to sleep. We were going out of town and I figured his number of night wakings would get worse with him getting over tired and getting only car naps for a day as we travelled. I was willing to give Tranquil Turtle a shot. After one of the worst car trips I've ever had with my kids, we got in really late and I was not hopeful that my little guy would get to sleep at all after some car sleep and then being up playing in a new place at 11pm. Go through a modified bedtime routine, read some stories and place little guy in the pack and play, turn on the turtle and leave the room. He talked a little, he babbled, he got quiet. I couldn't tell if he was asleep so I went up to spy and he was sitting up admiring the lovely under water effect the turtle creates in a dark room. I then watched him flop over on his side, raise an arm in the air to wave at the "waves" (I guess in surrender) and by the time I got back downstairs he was asleep. NO CRYING. We've been using the turtle for naps and bedtime for two full days and there have been no long drawn out battles. he just lays there and goes to sleep at some point. Even in the middle of the night if he wakes, turning the turtle back on does the trick. I figure he'll get the button pushing down soon enough. This turtle is magic. I am curious to see if the novelty wears off or if it still has the same effect at home when we are done with our trip. I am really excited to use it in our camper as it's difficult for him to get settled there due to the openness of his bed there and general busier sleeping area. I will update the review when we try it out. I am really really pleased so far with the turtle. The sounds are not too loud and optional. You can make the light move to make a wave like effect or be still. Some people complained that it only stays on for 23 minutes but I think it works out OK as it usually takes LOs 15 to 20 minutes to get to sleep - I think if it went on longer than that it might be a distraction. I suspect my guy is lulled in to this sleepy state as he watches the light show and if still awake when it stops he just nods off to dreamland. So glad I bought it.

I bought 2 of these Cloud B light turtles. The first one was the original tortoise colored one that projects the starry night sky. The second one was the Tranquil turtle. And between the two, I would have to say the ocean one is my favorite. Originally I ordered the purple tranquil turtle for my daughter because purple is her favorite color, but I was pleasantly surprised at how different and better-in my opinion- it is. The major differences between the this turtle and the original are: 1. The tranquil turtle doesn't project stars, it projects wavy "underwater" currents all over the room. The nice thing about this feature is that you have the option to set the waves to still or moving, both which are very relaxing to look at. 2. The music option is a must for us. The 2 choices are soft ocean waves sound and gentle music. And there's a volume control! There is also an option for no sound, which is great as well. 3. The light has a dimmer feature, so you can make it brighter or less so depending on your needs. 4. The auto shut off timer is only 23 minutes, unlike 23 and 45 min like other Cloud B soothers we have. Wish it went to 45 min, but perhaps it would eat up too much battery that way. Still 23 minutes is a good amount of time for most kids to fall asleep. 5. It is just a tad smaller than the original, but it is so cute in person. The purple velour is so soft and plush, and I love the way it looks.

Perfect Baby Shower Gift! I buy this as baby shower gufts. My daughter in law still uses it with my grandchildren. She places it on there dresser and turns it on when they go to bed. They now are so acustom to it, that it puts them right to sleep. Great night light and sound machine.

The turtles when they work are great! They do go through batteries relatively fast. But not unbearable. My kiddos of all ages love them! Even I do. The light is adjustable and the wave feature is so calming and relaxing. It really can fill up an entire room with waves. The sounds are soothing and the light and volume control do an adequate job of low and high. We have 2 in use currently and have bought a total of 4. The first one lasted 3 years with almost daily use. We have had to replace 2 of the other ones we purchased due to manufacture issues right out of the box. But the company is helpful and has integrity to replace whatever is wrong and make it right. Highly recommend! Just beware some dont work straight out of the box. Contact the manufacturer with any issues and you will be pleased. Worth the risk and headache for us!

I bought the purple one for my 9 year old grandson when he was a baby. It was used every night for years. I bought another blue one when my 2 year old grandson was born. That one is still in rotation. I just bought a pink one for myself. This way they can’t say I stole theirs. LOL. I’m a travel nurse, and this is a great way to relax when I’m feeling homesick for my boys! Between the waves, soothing melody and pretty wave patterns; falling asleep quickly is never a problem.

This is the 3rd turtle that I have purchased for my grandchildren. They love being able to turn it on if they wake up in the night. I was surprised that the newest one does not require batteries. Fingers crossed that the charge will last all night long. Great product. Highly recommend.
