6-star -- full flow -- heavy brass with threaded garden hose nozzle
Moen 8277 Commercial M-DURA 4-Inch Centerset Utility Faucet, Chrome This faucet is of superb quality – I have three of them. - At 3.5 pounds, it weighs twice as much as the Delta faucet it replaced. - Solid cast brass body, spout, handles and highly polished chrome. The cast base is 1/16" thick for example, compared to paper thin on most faucets of this type. - Standard size (½" NPT) threaded receivers for hot & cold water extend 2.5" below the faucet body, similar to most faucets of this type. - The thick cast brass handles on my faucets have a blue H or red C in 3-D for instant sight and touch recognition (current models have a stick-on label). - If a hose is attached, you can tell if a valve is open by the handle location – which you can’t do with rounded handles. - Unrestricted water flow – i.e., this faucet has no aerator or restricting-washer to reduce flow volume. Perfect for quickly filling buckets. After-market aerators are available from Amazon, if needed. For maximum water flow/volume applications, use ½” inside diameter or larger piping and supply lines up to the faucet base. At 64-PSI in our house, large feeder lines result in 6.6 gallons per minute from one faucet when full on. That’s one gallon every 9 seconds. On another valve, I used a typical faucet braided stainless steel flexible supply line with a 5/16" inside diameter. That results in 3.3 gallons per minute flow from one faucet full on, or one gallon every 18 seconds. - Nozzle end has male garden hose threads; and more threads than cheaper faucets – for attaching hoses, aerators, or other accessories. - Includes a thick molded dense-foam “washer” between the body and sink to prevent water from seeping underneath. A tiny tube of clear silicone seal is included if caulking the faucet body edge is desired. Most faucets include a thin plastic or nylon seal for under the faucet body. - A customer Image of our garage maple counter-top shows two of these Moens, one on the sink and one for the garden hose. Supply lines on both faucets are ½" ID. Another customer image shows the faucet bottom and mounting hardware. An included brass clip (not shown) can be installed for fixed (non-spout-swivel) installations. A stainless steel valve cartridge removing tool is also included, if you live long enough to need it. The compression washers that go against the counter bottom are stainless steel and the supplied nuts are solid brass – most of the competition uses plastic for these parts. Note: the faucet spout comes with a ½" wide “rubber band” near the lower nut. Its purpose is to prevent the bottom nut from moving upward and scratching the chrome prior to installation. After installation, it can be removed. The instructions should clarify that point. I have installed at least a hundred faucets in my life and this might be the highest quality model of any of them.

Great Quality....I expect this faucet to last a very long time
Heavy Duty. Easy to install. Great quality. I just installed this faucet yesterday, but judging by the initial quality observed, I'm expecting this faucet to last a very, very long time. Yes, it was more expensive than other faucets, but after replacing my second laundry sink faucet, I'm done going the cheap route. I believe it is well worth it.

Superb quality
The big box stores have utility sink faucets for 20 bucks. This was 5 times as much, but worth every penny. Beautiful machined surfaces, mounting threads that are clean and run free, although I do put Permatex anti-seize on them too. Brass nuts for the mounting and the tubing connections. I got away with using the old solid copper feed lines. The valves are feather light and feel great too. Boy, does this thing flow water-- no restriction on this baby, see the picture. I love the "H" and "C" on the handles, and they are color-coded as well. One big plus is there are hose threads on the end of the faucet, so I can run a hose inside the house if it catches fire, or more likely, attach a short hose to fill buckets sitting on the floor. Like they say-- you regret high price once, but you regret low quality over and over and over.

This is likely the best faucet that is available for utility Sinks.
I searched all the big box stores for a utility sink faucet, but none of them had any in stock. Amazon had the best selection along with next day shipping. The Moen faucet was more expensive than the other brands, but it's worth the extra cost. Everything on this faucet is heavy duty and you won't find any plastic on it. The faucet’s spigot allows for a solid connection of a garden hose if needed, this is great when you want to clean something in the yard with hot or warm temperature water. The water flow from this faucet is excellent and has no restrictions.

Old fashioned heft and quality, with efficient, functional design.
This was my second attempt at a replacement faucet. My first attempt was the house brand at Orange Box, which leaked from the get go. On the other hand, this Moen 8277 unit installed faultlessly and worked perfectly. The Moen is hefty, with lots of real metal in it. The action of the valves is precise, the volume of water high for quick utility sink use (like bucket filling). The chrome is perfect, the faucet spout rotates effortlessly, if you choose the option to do so (you can elect to fix the spout also). Shipping was prompt, and the unit was double boxed to protect it.

Works great. Allows for direct garden hose hookup
The utility room had a Moen pull out faucet. A great faucet but we needed to attach a hose to wash off the dogs. It's nice to have the warm water to rinse off the four legged tail waggers. And, those Moen single hole pull out faucets do not seem to have any possible adapter to allow for a garden hose hook up. So, drilled two holes in the SS sink and installed this faucet. I bought the necessary 1/2 inch and 3/8 inch faucet connectors at the local hardware store. Installation was relatively easy. Now, I have a faucet with a garden hose outlet. Two comments: 1.) The red/blue hot cold marking are not really needed. Everyone knows left is hot and right is cold. 2.) The outlet length is a little short for a large utility sink. I would have liked a higher spout and longer length. Not a deal breaker, just an observation.

Great faucet
I bought this for a utility sink in our horse stable. I have attached it to a 100ft stainless covered hose. This faucet has a strong flow and with the hose attached I can reach everywhere I need to go. I fill up water buckets, wash horses and dogs spray the aisleway. So convenient. This is a high recommend.!!!!!
