The Scerts Model Assessment: A Comprehensive Educational Approach for Young Children With Autism Spectrum Disorders@@ Vol. 1

As a educational psychologist working with children on the autism spectrum i use this model as one of my valuable tools to help children progress. I also had the privilege of attending a seminar by Dr. Prizant who is one of the authors. The techniques provided are practical and based on over 10 years of research. The title SCERTS stands for what the model works on, that is Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, and Transitional Support, all areas that need to be worked on with these children. The information is helpful and written in a way that can be useful by psychologists, educators, counselors and parents.
