Elementary teacher approved!
This book is one of my favorite books! I had it up in my classroom all the time when I was a teacher. The kids loved when I would read it over and over again. I even put it in my substitute plans to read for extra lesson.

Helps my toddler express and recognize their feelings so well!
My kid loves this book! The illustrations are so colorful and expressive that it's easy for my toddler (three year old) to recognize the different feelings. Sometimes we talk about the different feelings she felt that day as we read the books. She hands me this book sometimes to read to her too because she likes the illustrations so much. I found out about this book from a wonderful family/child therapist (@consciousmommy) on Instagram who had this book on her list of resources. It's been super helpful to navigate her big toddler feelings. Highly recommend.

Wonderful for teaching/discussing emotions with little ones!
This is a fun, colorful, engaging way to talk about emotions with the Littles in your life! It is helpful for emotional development to help them give a name to their different feelings. You can read each example, then bring up situations they might remember from their own experiences that would go with that emotion. My two kids loved it, and now I bought it for my grandson. Highly recommend!

Good book for kindergarteners
I ordered this book to read to my school children that I see in the school system in which I provide counseling. It appeared to help the children that I read it to learn basic feelings as well as feelings such as excited, silly, etc. The bright colors and large pictures add to the stories and help to provide a child with an understanding of the feeling words as well as help them to begin a vocabulary to express themselves.

Our 3 Year Old Grandson LOVES This Book!
Our 3 year old grandson is having a rough go of things lately because he feels ALL the feels--but he's acting out because he's unable to articulate the more negative/complicated ones in a healthy fashion. We just got this book, and he's already asked me to read it FOUR TIMES! He will point to certain pages and say, "That's Henry!" SO HE "GETS IT"! For us, this book turned the light on for Henry by providing validation to him in a way that he could understand. And he just LOVES the illustrations too!! As a very communicative grandmother, I can attest to the fact that this book opens the door for further, situation-specific conversations with your littles.

Has helped my toddler identify emotions!
Before my daughter was even born I read a lot about how important it is to help small children identify emotions so we got this book. It has been fantastic. I am not kidding when I say that my 19 month old pulls this out to read with us frequently when she is having a day that she is feeling all the feels. I read the book with great emotion in my voice to help her link the emotion word to sounds. And sure enough, because we have read this book since she was tiny, we have been reminded to help her label her emotions from the time she started showing them. Just recently (at only 19 months old!) she has started telling us (with words!) when she is “sad” or “angry”. As pitiful as it is to hear that my child say she is sad or angry, it’s so much better to have her learning to articulate her feelings than to scream or throw things. Love the way this book has helped us teach her about emotions! As she gets older we will graduate up to the full version (currently using the board book)!
