No-Spill 1415 1-1/4-Gallon Poly Gas Can (CARB Compliant), Red

I needed to purchase a smaller tank for my 2-cycle gas trimmer and found the No-Spill on Amazon with great reviews. I was not confident in purchasing any of the smaller tanks from local big box stores (Lowes, Sears, Home Depot) because I read wildly mixed reviews online and it made be very uncomfortable. I turned to Amazon and was impressed by most of the reviews even though a number of them had be concerned about product quality. The new emissions laws make it more difficult to find quality gas cans that can withstand the changes in pressure and not crack or degrade at the seams or nozzle. The plastic cans also have a tendency to break down and wear out over time and in temperature changes. I really like using Eagle branded steel gas cans but did not want to spend $35 for a 2 gallon tank for my trimmer... especially since I only needed ~1gal and wanted something that is easy to measure the contents. The No-Spill tank has a clear plastic viewing area on the front and back with markings for volume. This makes it easy to fill from my main 5 gallon tank and measure the proper amount for my oil and gas mixture. I did not see this feature advertised anywhere on the product listing but I am very glad it is easy to measure the quantity in the tank. Only time will tell if this No-Spill can is durable and can withstand the elements... but so far, so good. This little can is great and I do not have any of the issues or problems that seem to be common with this can (listed below): 1. Leaks around nozzle screw 2. Malfunctioning No-Spill spout 3. Cracking along the plastic seams I really enjoy the No-Spill nozzle and it is great for filling my gas trimmer. I can put the nozzle into the tank, press the button, and release the button when the tank is full. WARNING: these new gas tanks that do not have a vent valve. If the tanks have been sitting in your garage they may have built up vapor pressure inside of the tank. Before filling a tank it is advised to press the button to release pressure. If you do not do this then you may spray gas when the pressure is released and you are trying to pour gas into your equipment.

Best style gas can for chainsaws and gasolene mix, the big opening is easy to get mix into and the push button is hands down the best in the market for everyday red can, gas cans. All the big catagories, Easy flow, does not leak, large opening.

An innovasie gas can retainer with a no spill spout. The no-spill spout in a unique advancement in securely pouring gas out with possibly spilling. I really think this is the best possible gas can design you can buy and a great value for the money. My 1 1/4-gallon container meets all my immediate needs for a snow blower and lawn mower. The rectangular design offers stability for transport in a car without a possible tip over.

Pros: Probably the best anti-spill dispensing cap on the market - good gas flow. Wide base - it's not going to tip over in the car/truck. Extra 1/4 gallon - Matches up almost perfectly with the 3.2oz marking, on the 16oz 2-stroke bottles I buy (50:1 = 2.6oz/1gal, 3.25oz/1.25 gal). Cons: Anti-spill cap - I've spilled more gas using anti-spill caps, than pre-anti-spill caps. Cap threads are fine - I have 4, 5 gallon cans from the same company (No-Spill), 2/4 of those cans' caps have cross threaded, and 1 of those 2 leak pretty bad. Might this one do the same?

I learned my lesson with a cheaper jug that ruined my lawn mower's engine within a year, despite using an additive. i purchased this no spill 1 1/4 gallon tank for refilling my small 3.5 hp outboard motor. the fill spout is outstanding and doesn't spill anything. the short tube is perfect to go into the small fill hole in the tank. the button could not be easier to start and stop the flow of fuel into the tank. all of the others complaining about this unit must be impatient. anyone can control the amount of fuel that comes out. since the marinas do not allow storage in the dock boxes, i purchased a seal line dry bag to store this small no spill tank onboard until the day is finished. if the yellow cap is on tight and the dry bag is sealed correctly, there is absolutely no gasoline smell in the cabin of the sailboat or car trunk on the way to and from home. the dry seal bag does its job of a perfect seal every time. at home, of course, it does not smell out of the bag in the garage, either. this no spill tank is a great product and refilling the small gas tank on an outboard is a snap! a must buy for outboard motor owners. i have used other portable gas tanks, but they were terrible. this one will be a "keeper" for sure. it is highly recommended for all portable gasoline tank uses. update: i got tired of the poor starting 3.5 outboard, so i sold everything and got a torqeedo electric motor. but anyone having difficulties with the no spill tank is probably doing it wrong. it is still the best. it is just that i don't need to smell gas anymore. the mechanic that rebuilt my "new" 6 month old 3.5 hp outboard carb said that this no spill tank is excellent. but, no one should keep the gas in it over a week due to ethanol in the gas making stuff that clogs up the jet in the carb.
