I absolutely love the Eagle 5 Gallon Red Safety Gas Can! I’ve used plenty of plastic gas cans in the past, but none of them compare to this one. The build quality is top-notch – it feels solid and durable, and it’s much more stable than the plastic containers I’ve had before. I’ve noticed that it doesn’t flip over in the back of my truck, even when I’m driving on rough roads, which is a huge bonus. Been using this for about 3 months or so since I ordered it. It’s been so nice to have. I haven’t had a gas can I liked, or didn’t actually hate, for 20 years now. This is the way to go and worth every penny. Vent free and gas flows freely. Cap and opening ring seem very solid. Does not leak out or tip over when hauling. Only thing I dislike is removing the funnel every time I take it to the pumps. However, the funnel is so nice to have when filling a mower, I suppose it’s a good trade off. I do wish there was a separate (metal) fill cap/vent. It would be perfect then. However, it would probably be prohibited under today’s silly gas can restrictions.

I just received my new metal gas can. Open the box and it was perfect No dents or dings Some customer received theirs with dents that may be related to air transport higher altitudes causing a vacuum inside the can. I'd recommend to Eagle to prop the lip open so no vacuum can be created from pressure differential in altitude changes while shipping to different locations. This is the exact same gas can that my local auto parts store sells with their name brand on it for 92.00 dollars, funnel at an extra cost of 15.00. I bought this for 58.00 dollars with the funnel delivered to my door. I've used these at my work place for many years never had any problem with this product. Well worth the money spent. Don't want another plastic gas can. They are not ment for fuel storage the black plastic cap cracks from the pressure and the plastic gas can are not vented to release pressure so the plastic can swell up and the caps cracked. Felt very unsafe. Works well for transporting fuel but best to leave empty until you need to get fuel. I bought this metal can because we just had a hole island power outage I had no gas for my generator I was worried about our food storage. My generator will run for 8 hours on 1 gallon of fuel so 5 gallon would have been a big help. This metal gas can is vented for storage and is safe to use. I read alot of the comments giving low stars you know about the funnel and the spring tension to open the lid. First off is I'll never use the funnel on the can. I'll stick the funnel in the fuel filler on my car and then slowly put the gas in simple. The springs on the lid is so the vapors can vent if the pressure gets to high in the can far better then the plastic can that can crack and leak fuel. Not recommend for kids to use I may buy one more, 10 gallons should be more then enough for an emergency. You don't want to much gas stored at home but I would believe 10 gallons should be ok.

Great product, the funnel is a little tricky to get off. It definitely prevents spills.

The eagle gas cans are the best cans you can buy.They don't leak,they don't buckle in when the weather changes from hot to cold.They are made of quality materials.Great cans you can depend on.

Sturdy well made can. With spout attached it gives good control of filling fuel tanks. Takes a little effort to keep cap open when filling can but is manageable.

Item arrived crushed in on both sides. The packaging box was intact so likely shipped out already damaged!

Leaks like a sieve around the funnel when pouring. Wouldn't buy again for that reason.

This can is metal and has a safety valve to prevent the can from exploding. I had a plastic can explode in my car trunk and that is dangerous.. This gas can is compelely safe. Another Great Product From Amazon.

This will be the last gas can you’ll need to buy. Solid construction. Easy to pour. Lid will vent under high pressure. Funnel can fill small engines and your vehicle. Makes me feel better knowing my gas is stored as safely as possible. Just ordered a second one of these.
