Akuyaku No.1 W/Crew -Package Renewal- (Plastic model)

Yes it is. The scale is wrong but its not very noticeable. Larger than a Leman Russ but smaller than a bane blade. Adds a lot of character to an army. With some slight converting mine looks like it rolled out of an Imperial Guard base. Very fun to work with easy to assemble and convert.

I'm sure if you are looking at this kit, you are aware it is designed by H. Miyazaka the famous animator/artist. This design comes from his time doing illustrations for the Japanese magazine Hobby Japan. The kit is very easy to build and the parts are mostly big enough for people with big fingers. The build design is smartly laid out starting from inside parts the sub assembly for the movable reconnaissance tower. Tracks are the band type but they are prefect for this application since the real one is simply a band as well. The sub-assemblies for the sides, turret and roof parts are also quick and easy. The sides fit so tightly that I didn't even glue them to the body for painting. Painting and weathering the tracks can be done separately a then you just glue them in at the end. The tabs for the sprues are a little thick so some care and sanding with probably be needed. The funnest part of the kit comes with painting, there is no one way to paint the crew or the tank itself so let your imagination reign.
