This is as pictured. I purchased this particular seat as it had high back and appeared to be solidly constructed. Our Bella is 7 pounds and fits comfortably in the seat and likes being up high to look out. We recently purchased a new car with center console closed storage area and wanted to try a seat she could sit in instead of always in passenger lap when we were both in the car. The only issue was our new cars seats did not allow for the straps to go between the back and bottom of the seats as they are enclosed. We were able to find a solution in taking the side straps and placing them around the back of each of the front seats and tightening. This keeps the seat secure and stable when driving and she feels secure in the seat. Other than this obstacle the installation is easy and it is light enough to remove when not in use and then takes only a few minutes to install when we need to use it. Overall, it is well made, and I think worth the money even though there are others less expensive, I really like the high back as I did not to worry about her sliding back and not having a brace.

If you’re tired of dealing with cheaper console dog seats then look no further!! It is worth every penny! So much better than the cheap one I bought initially. For reference my Bichon is approximately 10 lbs and I bought the large size. Fits just right in my Honda civic! She has always insisted on the console, so I wanted to make sure she’s safe and I’m not distracted. It’s soft and comfortable for her no hard cardboard like sides. No straps dangling from the headrests of the seats either. This was made specifically for the car console. Not a dog carrier! The cover is washable and zips off. Nice halter attachment in the seat so my dog can’t jump out. The straps are amazing and latch close not just hooked on so they won’t come off easy. The straps on the back are secure when attached to the metal post at the bottom of the front seats. I like the higher back, makes her feel more save and secure that she won’t fall out. I’m in love with this dog seat and it’s a great investment if you travel longer distances with your best dog friend.

Was very impressed with this fur baby car seat. We needed something for our passenger princess, Sophia! She is a 4 month old mini Schnoodle and currently weighs 8 lbs. The seat is very light weight but well made and sturdy. The functionality is great because it’s easy to install and there is a safety strap built into the inside bottom area that easily clips onto her harness. It’s extremely important to never attach it to your dog’s collar. For safety and comfort only ever attach it to your dog’s harness. The seat easily fit on the console of both my Land Rover Defender and my husband’s GMC truck. Although, I do have to say that once you strap it all into place the storage area in the console is no longer easily accessible . Especially if the dog is in residence. But all in all, I think it’s a win and Sophia loves it. She has the perfect seat for people watching and for napping. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a safe, convenient and comfy spot for their pocket puppy!

I do like this product but not for its intended purpose. Everyone needs to do the research on animals during a crash. The straps that attach to the console lid and the one that attaches to your pets harness will not hold up during a real crash. The description says sudden breaking which is true. During a real wreck the straps are going to come apart and your dog will be launched through the windshield. It's also possible that the airbag would hit your dog in the face and injury them. [...] I bought this for my dog to sit in but will cut a hole in the back so his harness can be attached to the seatbelt. This car seat is in no way securing my dog in place. It just gives him a soft area to lie in and I do like that the sides and back are high which gives him more protection. Airbags must be turned off if the dog is riding in the front passenger seat. His harness is a crash tested harness made by Sleepy Pod and was part of the study on harnesses at the link above. Please read these results as there are so many harnesses out there that claim to be safe for car travel when they are not. Always buckle up your dog just like you buckle up yourself or a child. We love our dogs and they are part of our family so let's treat them like a family member. It is well-made and attractive and the measurements were as advertised.

It is not as long as I thought it would be, but it is still big enough for my dog. Doesn't fit my Van, but does fit my truck. It is thick and comfy, so my dog will have a comfortable ride and be able to see out the window if he chooses. Now he can ride right next to my husband and myself without being on our laps. More comfortable for him and us.

This does not fit in the console area right between the driver and passenger side but it does fit in the console behind it. My dog can still see us from it and I can touch her from the passenger seat. She absolutely loves it!!! I feel so much better knowing that she is safer and when we put on the breaks she will not go flying forwards. It is very good quality and looks very nice.

Perfect front console car seat for a small dog. Our 7lb chi lives it. We used the ties with the centre seat belt in the rear section and it is really secure.
