Nice alternative to try to get different birds to the feeder.
This didn't bring any different birds to my feeders. It did attract the yellow jackets though.

Love its safe for birds and I have several kinds coming for it.
My birds love this jelly and although I got it for the Oriels, The house finches seem to love it also. The container is perfect for filling the feeder dishes and I will definitely by this again.

It's convenient
I'm anti plastic but sometimes benefits overrule principles. This is just some kind of mixed berry jelly stored in the reason why I bought it at all...an efficient squeeze bottle with a clever slot in the lid. I got a great Bird's Choice oriole feeder from Amazon that has the jelly cups. I can take the squeeze bottle out and fill the little cups without bringing in the whole shebang inside wile dripping sugar water on my floor. About halfway through the bottle, I thought I might be getting a hernia when my most forceful squeeze would not dispense any jelly. Dutifully, I took the bottle back to the kitchen and removed the top. Turns out, there was a giant glopping wad of jelly jamming the slot. I added water, shook it up and still, the glob persisted. So, I removed the clever slot top and just forced out the glob without the lid. It was cathartic to say the least. At that point, I wondered whether the really crazy price was worth it. NO. So, I now have filled my handy-dandy plastic bottle with cheap grape jelly and nobody in the natural world has complained so far. I don't think orioles give a rip about jelly flavors and certainly don't care about reduce, recycle, reuse. They just want their sugar hit.

Birds approve
Great little jelly for your birds. If you are a bird watcher grab this and watch them flock to your feeder.

A big hit with our house finches
We purchased this as our hooded Orioles returned, yet interestingly the house finches are the ones gobbling this up. The pour spout functions well and makes dispensing easier. As the birds are loving this I assume it's because of the yummy flavor. The bottle size also makes it easy to store in the refrigerator. Overall a good value knowing our wildbirds are consuming an appropriate jelly.

Use this instead of grape jelly!
I put an Oriel feeder up a few months ago and read several articles that said regular grape jelly would be fine. Birds started coming to the feeder right away, only not Oriels. Rather, all the other song birds from the seed feeder were visiting, which is fine by me. Recently I noticed, however, that the hummingbirds were bypassing their nectar feeder and going to the jelly feeder too. I started wondering if regular grape jelly was healthy for them. Turns out, it is NOT. The corn syrup is too sticky for them given their petite frames. They can fall into the reservoir because they have weak grip strength in their feet. If they get the jelly on their feathers it is fatal because they cannot fly. Then I found this little gem through a birder website! Not only is the consistency less sticky, it actually has nutrients in it as opposed to the regular grape jelly which is just straight corn syrup sugar. I’ve had this jelly up for a few weeks now and the birds seems to love it just as much and I love it more knowing it’s not endangering any of my birds and is actually providing nutrients similar to nectar.
