Methodical Illusion

There are several issues with regard to this book that may be teased out and addressed separately. As a novel of the thriller genre, it is a partially successful effort...a readable first novel, but one flawed by the shallowness of Ms Roth's characters and her rather unimaginative writing. The sense of imminent danger to the protagonists, so necessary to a successful thriller, is largely absent. I was however even more disappointed by the ending, where we find a heroic President stepping forward to set everything right. This denouement seemed both implausible and formulaic. A second concern I have is that our heroic President seems to harbor profoundly right-wing views on a number of issues facing our republic, and that Ms Roth seems to share these views, including the mistaken ideas that entitlements are bankrupting the country (rather than, say, excessive military spending, national debt "interest" transfers to wealthy bondholders, and Wall Street bailouts), Arctic oil drilling and fracking will solve our energy shortfalls, and American Muslims are not to be trusted. As someone who, in my old age, has become something of a pacifist and socialist, I personally found that slogging through this stale Limbaughesque rhetoric, while looking for Ms Roth's 9/11 insights, was burdensome. I also have a feeling that perhaps the author's political views may have affected her judgment with regard to her views on "whodunit." As I read her work, she seems to be suggesting that the ultimate responsibility for 9/11 resides in an international banking cartel, one which is intimately involved with the state of Israel. Any American involvement in 9/11 was due to excessive interference in U.S. public affairs by agents of Israel. Perhaps I am oversimplifying her conclusions, but it seems as though her patriotic Americanism and her devotion to American capitalism may be blinding her to the critically important roles that venerable American institutions, such as Wall Street banks, oil companies, arms manufacturers, CIA, and the Pentagon have played in the development of the American "deep state" network. The American deep state has proven itself to be a powerful, secretive, and violent actor in international and domestic affairs and the interests of its component parts are carefully attended to by the network. 9/11 was almost certainly a "deep event," in the interpretation of Peter Dale Scott, that is, an event orchestrated by the deep state, with certain elements visible to the public but most elements obscured. 9/11 was designed as a false flag by the AMERICAN deep state, for several rather obvious reasons, all of which were of value to the powerful components of the deep state: to increase the people's reliance on the police and military power of the state; to increase military and "homeland security" spending; to justify invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan and whatever other military or covert operations the government decides to engage in; and to curtail civil liberties. 9/11 no doubt strategically helped Israel, and it is very likely that Mossad was involved in its execution. However it seems likely that the operation was primarily a home-grown affair. The world may be threatened by a New World Order, or a globalist cabal, but these globalists still proudly wear the red-white-and-blue and, for now anyway, appear intent upon accomplishing their goals using our DOD and CIA. In other words, there may well be an international conspiracy to control the world's politics and economy, but this conspiracy seems to be centered in NYC and Washington, rather than Jerusalem. Ms Roth seems to obscure the essentially American character of 9/11 and to minimize U.S. responsibility for the subsequent illegal and unconstitutional wars which derived from 9/11. The greatest value of Ms Roth's work, in my view, is her proposal of a plausible explanation for the enigma of the phone calls from the 9/11 planes. But a caveat needs to be offered here. It is now an established fact that the official 9/11 story is patently false, and this fact was abundantly clear from the work of others even before Ms Roth published. She seems to be cleaning up some troubling details, rather than covering entirely new ground. Still, her insights are very interesting and if her work leads to a wider appreciation of the fact that 9/11 was an "inside job," then that alone would justify its publication. I would have preferred that she publish a straightforward nonfiction account of her findings and her interpretations, since this approach would have allowed for more space to explain the background of her theory. As it stands, I think that some knowledge of what others had previously written is useful in appreciating her work. To begin with, the most important of the 9/11 calls, reportedly from CNN commentator Barbara Olson, onboard AA flight 77, to her husband Ted Olson, the country's Solicitor General, at the Justice Department, have now been proven to never have taken place. Either Mr Olson was lying, or he was the victim of a staged call from an impersonator (a possibility, given that the U.S. Government had expert voice morphing technology at the time). Either possibility throws the official 9/11 theory into disarray and also casts grave doubt on the authenticity of the other 9/11 phone calls. The other calls already had credibility problems, including phony-sounding dialogue from the callers as well as the fact that many of these calls from the planes were cell-phone calls (or at least they were perceived as such by the call recipients) and cell phones did not work at altitudes above, say, 1800 feet. David Ray Griffin, the dean of 9/11 sceptics, and others, suspect that ALL of the non-Olson calls were scripted and faked, using the aforementioned voice morphing technology. Ms. Roth has a different theory, based on her experience as a flight attendant and her interpretation of the transcripts of these calls, and in my opinion, her theory is elegant, if thus far unproven. It has the ring of truth, and I suspect it may well turn out to be true. This part of her work is well worth reading. She suspects that the calls actually were made by passengers or flight attendants, rather than imposters, and WERE made on cell phones (some of the calls may have been made by the handlers of the operation). The flight attendants and legitimate passengers who did make calls were chosen by the handlers who instructed the callers on what to say, and closely monitored their conversations. These cell calls could be completed BECAUSE THE PLANES HAD ALREADY LANDED. (The damages to the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were produced by mechanisms other than plane crashes, and the 9/11 aircraft, passengers, and crew were later disposed of, having served their purposes of deception.) All this, at least, if Ms Roth is correct. She incorporates into her theory two other theories which have been around for years: 1) the planes were electronically hijacked (almost certainly true) AND 2) (much more controversially) she endorses the NO-PLANE theory (the seemingly crazy idea, which I am beginning to think is more-and-more likely) that no plane hit either the Pentagon or the WTC. As I suggested, this interesting possibility is worthwhile considering, and the evidence the author puts together is very intriguing (as is the evidence offered by other authors, suggesting that the initial damage to the Pentagon and the twin towers could not have been produced by commercial aircraft, and that there were in addition powerful explosions at both sites). However, the most important take-home point is that 9/11 was carried out by US Government agencies, acting as part of the American deep state. This proposition has now reached the level of undeniable fact, and its truth does not depend on Ms Roth's interesting theory.

Where were you on 9/11/01? I daresay every American who was 20 and older on that day knows exactly where they were that morning, and knew exactly what had happened, with the "who-what-when-where-why" questions being answered for us within minutes of the tragedy, and often graphically. In a repetitious and precise manner, Americans—and the world, for that matter—had all the answers given to them before they could even ask the questions. What great intelligence agencies we had...or did we? And although the event was horrific, to have all the questions answered quickly and repetitively, we Americans could get on with our lives knowing that our President and government agencies had a plan, and everything was under control. Which was just what they wanted us to believe. So we did just that, got on with our lives...lives that for hundreds of thousands were now changed forever. But as time passed, many of us started realizing that the compact and condensed "who-what-when-where-why" version of 9/11 continually being pushed at us on a daily basis was just not plausible.In the years since, as a military wife and mom, having my loved ones going back and forth from deployment to deployment was tough, to say the least, and as they say, "you can only know if you have walked in my shoes". I kept very busy during those times with my own career that was very people centered and the questions always came regarding my family serving...Where are they? Why are we in Iraq when OBL is in Afghanistan? Are they in danger? Why can't they find OBL? Like I was some military expert. It caused me to start asking my own questions and doing my own research. Finding I could no longer just turn on CNN or the MSM to find out what was really going on. What I was finding though, and still am finding, was hard to fathom...I'm a patriot, I love Jesus, I love my country. We have served and continue to because of those very reasons, but the direction my own research was taking was finding some very disturbing themes. Themes of what could be deemed total corruption, possible treason in the highest ranks of our government, corporations and our allies being traitors. I was heartbroken. Even our 9/11 Commission did not do justice to the tragedy of that day. Years have followed and no one has thoroughly been investigated or held accountable. I wanted more answers.Then coming across some interviews with author Rebekah Roth on Rense, Sgt Report, Caravan to Midnight, Hagmann & Hagmann, I saw things in a brand new light. I had already listened to much of Christopher Bollyn and James Corbett. Many questions now had answers, but I needed more. Roth was offering readers a little different way to follow the 9/11 timeline...as a fictional story with factual information. So I ordered Methodical Illusion. I was happy to follow the main character, Vera Hanson, a career international flight attendant through her own journey to find answers regarding 9/11. Vera draws from her own career knowledge base. She finds so many inconsistencies in what was reported to have happened on those planes that day, and weighs it against what she knew as a flight attendant should have happened. Vera will uncover some unique information with the help of old friends and new, from pilots to magazine editors turned investigative journalists, from retired military officers, to the CIC in the White House. As Roth likes to say, "fasten your seat belts," because this first book will be eye-opening.Rebekah Roth, first time author of Methodical Illusion, must have felt much the same way...until she woke up. Through her first book, we will see a new writer weave her thoughtful fiction with facts of 9/11 in a way that no other author on the event has done. This is actually quite helpful to the new investigators who are starting to wake up and ask questions, because so many answers we were given post-9/11 do not make sense. I am thankful for Roth's tenacious spirit in going after clues, and revealing answers and letting her fictional characters tell the tangled tale. Many readers just cannot sit down with a scientifically written book on 9/11 to have their questions answered. Roth's first book will be hard to put down once the mysteries start to unravel and new light shines on dark secrets that many Americans will not want to believe...so Roth and her characters will wake you up slowly and with a desire to find out more.

Many people have speculated what really happened that day and the months and even years leading up to the events of 9-11-01. But Rebekah Roth looked at those events from a professional view as a career Flight Attendant. Written in the form af a novel, this is a logical explanation taken from many hours of examining the voice recordings, the professional training of every crew member, the actual events that took place that and the protocols that a Flight Attendant knows should have been followed, but they weren't. It's an exciting novel, and I am definitely planning to follow up with the other volumes in this series.

We always knew there were many things that didn't add up & couldn't be explained about 9-11. Very well explained from an experienced airline employee! Thought provoking; I was disappointed with the ending...I wanted more!

This is a novel though based technically in fact. As an aeronautical lecturer I have been interested in the events of 9/11 since it happened and was immediately aware that the official story was false. This book bridges the gap between people who have the background knowledge in science, aerospace and materials and those that don't, but who seek answers to almost the biggest problem the whole world is currently facing. In the last hundred years we have had wars - genuine wars (if you will) between nations. But a "war on terror" has no boundaries or definable objectives. It is as vague as the politicians who cause it want to make it. "Terror" isn't a country or a state and video "evidence" is so easily faked as to be laughable - Rebekah Roth is approachable, open, honest and brave. I recommend this book

What an incredible book this is, had me totally hooked from the very start. Being an avid truth seeker myself this was something which was of high interest to me and one which, after viewing an interview with the author, decided to download it onto the kindle, well I could not stop reading and 3 days later I had finished. Most of the stuff that the author discusses I had already read about through my many years of research. The "gold heist" included, although no one had written and detailed much about that and I got sidetracked into further research but it came back via this book...my reaction of the overall information being given is just wow.As outlined by the author, of course mobile phones don't work in the air, we've all tried it so the inconsistencies are huge, but even the context of some of the calls such as a son calling his mother and saying its him by using his first and second name and coupled with all the other stuff I already knew about 9/11, factual things such as the vice president in place during the attacks mis-saying the word "missile" on a TV interview, the then president saying he seen the planes hit the tower as he walked into the classroom despite there being no live coverage of the plane (as a lot of my fellow truth seekers already know, the footage we seen of that plane wasn't released and aired until the following morning), the lack of any plane being found at the pentagon...the list is endless and the people responsible for perpetrating this attack know that we know...and now someone has put together a good story as it should have been told and the only reason it wasn't was because the whole world would have changed it's opinion on their permission to go to war against the so called Taliban and mastermind Osama Bin Laden.So I won't ruin anyone's pleasure of the read itself by disclosing too much of what the author says but I urge all of you, forget questioning should I buy this, should I not, you HAVE to read this, you HAVE to know what these mysterious rulers of the world are really up to, you HAVE to be informed now before it's too late.BUY IT, READ IT, LEARN FROM IT

If you doubt the ridiculous official narrative of what happened on that most awful of days, look no further, than Methodical Illusion. Good people all over Planet Earth were all scammed by an Evil, so powerful, that previous Presidents warned us about it decades ago, including John Kennedy, just before they killed him. This book will explain in novel form, the incredible organisation and deception that was undertaken, probably over many years, to embroil the USA and its European puppet nations, into a Global Transformation that has benefited only a certain group of families, known as The Octopus, or Hidden Hand, or The Cabal, take your pick. Never-ending War..against "terror"..? - you got it. Transformation of rich, previously Homogeneous European nations into , er something else? - you got it. It's got a name - Miscegenation. The future Transhumanist agenda is yet to come, and the Human Race is about to change forever, but like 911, we will be acquiescent, for we are too oblivious to this evil. An honest and brave book. Deserves to be widely read despite its often clumsy and somewhat banal language. What is important is not the 'cover story' - the ostensible plot, which is reasonably well crafted - but the questions and revelations about what really happened on 9/11. The title is perfectly apt. The world was sold a methodically constructed illusion - presented as reality - through a kind of mass hypnosis induced by the ceaseless repetition of the lie (still being regurgitated by the mainstream) and the criminal collusion of especially politicians and the media. It should not be forgotten that this particular lie is the direct cause of the deaths of an estimated 6-8 million people and the destruction of whole societies. It should not be allowed to persist.

This is a novel but it is also much more than a novel. As a novel, it is well-written and plotted, and enjoyable to read. It is appealing because it is written in a very direct and unpretentious style.This book is also remarkable as an introduction to the ideas of 911 truth:- that the attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon on 11th September 2001 were a covert false flag operation perpetrated by elements within US and Israeli governmental agencies. Ms Roth is an flight attendant of many years experience with first-hand knowledge of airline protocols and procedures. She has used her expertise in this field, and also much research that she conducted, to expose the inescapable falsehood of the official 911 narrative as put out by the Bush administration and the heavily controlled mass media.If you are interested in the truth behind the events of '9/11' (and you should be because it has grave importance not just for citizens of the USA but for citizens of the world) then this book is, I would say, a book which needs to be read.I give this book my highest recommendation.
