Introduction to Rocket Science and Engineering

A Great Introduction!
The book is well written with loads of graphics and figures. It's a great book to read if you're interested in rocket science, as it covers a little of a bunch of aspects. While it doesn't cover any single topic in extreme detail, it does cover many, and in enough detail to get you started. The book introduces the reader to subjects like the history of rockets, basic orbital mechanics, payload and staging concepts, basic engine design (liquid fuel, solid fuel, and hybrid fuel), systems engineering, and a glimpse of how space programs are run from a management stand point.A great read for those getting started, or those who want to know more about various facets of rocket engineering.

Very Clearly Written
The author presented the subject in a very clear, very concise, and digestable manner. Being as I read the book for my own enrichment and not part of a class. I found it to be a very good introduction to a very complex subject for a complete layman, such as myself.

Don't buy this book!
Don't buy this book!Author has no idea what he's writing about.Arithmetic is mostly wrong.Algebra is also often wrong.Physics is often times confused. There's only one chemical formula in the whole book, but even it is not correct! (p.117)

Not what I was expecting
The author is extremely knowledge about rocket science however, this is no introduction book. Most of the concepts in the book require a higher degree of knowledge into the topic and extensive background in mathematics to follow the explanations. Not what I was expecting. Previews of each chapter should be a standard for all book purchases. Somewhat disappointed with this order.
