If You Have Clutter from Devices, You Need This
At first, I was skeptical of yet another gimmicky add-on for all of our little devices, but the moment I opened this up, I was impressed! My current situation is a kitchen bar counter with a Google Home and a Google Home Hub. Why both? Well, I am still trying to figure out what to do with my Home Hub. I've had it in various rooms and have never really had it click. That is, before I discovered the The Easy Outlet Shelf by Mount Genie. I now have the Home Hub tucked neatly on the wall underneath a cabinet where I typically work in the kitchen. Now that it is in a logical place, I feel like I am finally getting full value from my Home Hub, because I can use it for recipes, media control, and of course, sending out a broadcast when food is ready. The packaging for the Easy Outlet Shelf by Mount Genie was very nice and easy to open. The instructions could be printed a little bigger. Old guys like me with progressives might have trouble reading them. It presents itself as a very professional and polished product right out of the packaging. The Easy Outlet Shelf by Mount Genie comes with an improved outlet mount. Make sure you use the new one instead of the one included in the box. I tried them both, and the improved one is definitely, well, improved. Once you get the mount installed (foam side down, please), you'll then coil up the device power cord in the base and then snap it into the outlet mount. I'll admit I had to try twice to get the right end of the power cord in the right place (that's what she said) but once I got it right, everything looks nice and neat. Plan on spending about five minutes to install. Once you have the Easy Outlet Shelf by Mount Genie installed, you'll soon realize how useful it is. As long as the device is under two pounds, you can use it. I'm still coming up with ideas ... Google WiFi Pucks, IP Cameras, Home Minis ... any of those can be placed on the shelf. I also received the Google Home Hub adapter, which is where the real value kicks in. The adapter simply clicks in to the base and provides a snug base for the Google Home Hub. You can then rotate the device for the best view. If you're like me, and your home is littered with "things" plugged into walls, you need this product. It has changed the way I use my Google Home Hub, and the amount of value it has added is far more than the purchase price. It is easy to install, looks great and is beyond useful. Go ahead and add this to your cart today!

Another Winner!
I had purchased the Google Home Mini - Custom Built-in Holder and Outlet Wall Mount and have been very happy with it! Unfortunately, there wasn't anything available for the Google Home at that time. A quick email to Charles and he told me that there was a product in the works. Fast Forward a few months and The Easy Outlet Shelf is available. Installation was easy just loosen the 4 screws and slide the adapter behind the cover and tighten up the screws. Took just minutes. Next was thread the cord through the base and plug into the Google home and the wall. Couldn't have been easier. The shelf itself is stable and sturdy. Takes some effort to remove the base once its snapped into place. Really like the lack of visible cords, mine is installed in a kitchen so being able to wipe down the cabinet without having to move the Google home is awesome. I could suggest a couple of very minor improvements, the arm that holds the shelf could have if needed a foam gasket material backer that would take up the space between the wall and the arm for people with receptacle boxes that might stick out more than standard. Or even an adhesive foam pad backer for tile installations could improve perceived stability issues for an installation in a higher traffic location than mine where bumps might be more likely.

Good overall; expect some shaking when using touch-screen.
Overall good product that works well for getting the Nest Hub off the counter. It was very easy and quick to install and holds surprisingly well. The only negative is that - due to how it's mounted - the whole mount shakes a bit when using the touch screen or rotating the hub. It's a minor annoyance and I fixed it by using a 3M command strip to secure the mount so it no longer shakes.

Nice and clean
I’ve tried many different mounts for the Nest Hub and none of them looked good when installed. This one looks great and works well. Changed the entire look of our countertop. I’m going to buy another one for the other side of the plug to be used as a shelf.

Didn't hold up to time
Didn't hold up after less then a year. The plastic started bending to the side under the weight and now the device just randomly falls

Elegant solution for sure but falls short: saggy/ wobbly after a week or two
I would suggest you look instead at the one-piece version integrated with decora outlet cover, here: Mount Genie Smart Home Outlet Shelf: Hidden Cord Storage and Extra Custom Short Cords Great for Google Home, Nest, Security Cameras, Smart Speakers, and more https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0791KKKKB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_tVD-EbF51ETHR I purchased two of the type on this product page and they both have become saggy/ wobbly after a ~two weeks. My return window is up on Amazon (I believe) so these are just sitting around. I replaced both with the linked version (and another to hold a nest secure) with the version I linked above. Perhaps this version would benefit from some really strong double-sided tape (although that may wreak havoc on anything other than tile (for example, painted surfaces). The “tape” they include with this one doesn’t do much of anything — it is more of a gel (for vibration I guess?) and doesn’t have hardly any tack to it.

Fits 2018 Echo Dot (Gen 3)
We were looking for something to get our Echo Dot off the bathroom counter and hold the cable. We have a couple of Mount Genie's Dot Genie's in other areas of the house, but they wouldn't fit in the bathroom. The back-splash below the outlet sticks out too far to mount it with the Dot hanging below the outlet and the medicine cabinet interferes with the Dot if we try to mount it with the Dot above the outlet. I saw the older version of this Easy Outlet Shelf but it was not large enough to hold the 3rd Gen Dot. Someone pointed me to this new version and it does fit the new Dot. It's also compatible with any outlet rather than just the decor style outlets. I was initially concerned about the stability of it, but after the SUPER simple installation it feels stable enough to hold our Dot. I would also have no problem putting the larger and heavier Echo Plus on it. As I mentioned above, the installation is very easy, just remove the outlet cover, place the lip of the mount plate just inside the edge of the outlet cover and reinstall the cover on the outlet. Then simply install the shelf onto the mount plate. It took me less than 60 seconds to install. You don't need to put any holes in your walls or use adhesives that could possibly damage the paint. It's perfect for our needs. It's in our Son's bathroom where we didn't want electrical cables on the counter where he frequently spills and splashes water.

Great stand for those Type As out there!
Easy installation - can be done in under 5 minutes. Very clean look and doesn’t interfere with my switch or plug. It makes it a little tighter if you have an hefty plug that you have to keep pulling in and out (like an hair dryer) but other than that, this thing looks sharp and is very usable. I did use the included 3M tape to adhere the part that sticks out for the stand to make it sit flush with the wall and give it more support. Sound quality for the Apple HomePod Mini still sounds great on it and no interference with “Hey Siri” functions. This was a perfect use in my bathroom where I didn’t want any counter space taken up nor do I like seeing loose cords.
