C.R. Gibson Vertical Recipe Keeper Flip Stand, Perfect Setting

I got this for my nephew who is going to culinary school this year after he graduates high school in June. I received a list from some personal friends who are chefs along with some great information from websites of items that chefs in training will need that the schools don't necessarily provide. Among those items, a recipe binder or sheet protectors was definitely recommended for something for them to put all the recipes in.I came across this on Amazon and thought it would be pretty useful so he could stand it up and it comes with plenty of sheets to protect the recipes so he shouldn't have to get anything for a while and even if he does, you can just reorder the sheets themselves.When I got it in the mail, I was incredibly impressed with it. I also got this one because it seemed gender-neutral so it's not too "girly " for him LOL.I'm actually considering ordering one for myself now because it would be a lot easier to have something like this to stand the recipes up with. There's a lot of little trinkets out there that will hold your books and phones but I like this item because you can have the actual recipe and it's full size and for people like me who wear trifocals, the eyes appreciate anything that's normal or large font.I would definitely recommend this for the chef in your life, or if you just need something to hold your recipes and make your life a heck of a lot easier while you're doing your time in the kitchen.

The best cookbook is the one you assemble yourself with the recipes you use on a daily basis, menus & recipes for entertaining and a perpetual grocery list. I bought this in January along with an extra pack of page protectors & have been using it every day for 6 months. It took an afternoon to scan, cutout, printout or handwrite my favorite recipes and a perpetual grocery list. I have added the entertainment section and switch recipes in and out seasonally. It takes only a few minutes here or there to maintain. I use a dry erase marker to indicate things I need to buy on the grocery list. Stands up well, easy to read, very sturdy...love it!

It was exactly what I was expecting EXCEPT for the dumb sticker that was on the front of the keeper.Who's idea was it to put an ugly, giant sticker of a spoon with the words "flip stand recipe keeper" directly onto the decorative, paper cover?!?!After VERY carefully removing (in fear of tearing the paper) the sticker from the cover, I debated returning this item because now I have a large gummy mark on the front of my book.. I suggest you omit the senseless sticker (it's obvious what the item is, it says "recipes" on the front of the keeper, it doesn't need the sticker to begin with. or spend the extra penny per sticker for the easily removable kind (non-gummy stickers).Aside from the unexpected, annoying, 30 minute sticker removal project upon opening, it's a cool, unique, recipe holder!

Love everything about this book! Love it so much I bought another for me and another for my Mother. Sturdy construction and really like the way it opens to a stand for easy recipe reading. Holds plenty of extra pages. I have the pages that came with + 2 more sets of refill pages in each book and they are still not too full.

i love the stand feature and the full page sized page protectors. it's really sturdy, tho the magnet could perhaps be bigger and stronger, the first couple times you use it takes a little bit of a learning curve to get the placement right.

I bought two of these for my daughters when they graduated from college. I filled them with recipes I made when they were growing up so they could continue making recipes for their own families down the road. I bought these for their high-quality construction and durability. They loved it!

Feels cheap

Works very well for organizing all your loose recipes. The flip stand has a magnet in it that keeps it in place and it stands very well. It comes with the plastic sheets but I also bought an extra set of refills that made it get bulky quickly and that makes it harder to stand upright. If you want to stand it upright while using a recipe you'll want to remove some of the sheets to keep it less bulky.

The binder rings did not meet up so it's hard to turn the pages.

I love this product - it works really well to hold my recipes and display the recipe when I’m using it.

Love that you can flip thru the recipes when cooking. Recipes are inserted into plastic envelopes which protects them from splatters. I ordered an extra set of clear covers but either the extras or the originals have one hole that is torn. The recipe binderitself is a little curled, but certainly usuable.
