This John Guest rigid elbow fitting is made of acetal copolymer and has tube and NPTF male connectors. This rigid elbow fitting connects two pipes at an angle to change the direction of flow between pipes. It is a push-to-connect fitting that connects to pipes or tubing on one end and has a National Pipe Taper Fuel (NPTF) male connector on the other. The fitting is made of acetal copolymer plastic, which has low moisture absorption, high tensile and flexural strength, and is hard and fatigue resistant. The working pressure for this fitting is up to 150 pounds per square inch (psi). This fitting meets National Sanitation Foundation (NSF)/American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards 14, 51, and 61 for plastic piping systems, food equipment materials, and use with drinking (potable) water.Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. Push-to-connect compression fittings do not require tools or sealants, and are useful in installations where a heat source, such as a soldering torch, is prohibited. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size, and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).John Guest manufactures push-to-connect fittings and pipe and plastic plumbing systems. The company, founded in 1961, is headquartered in Great Britain and meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001.

Works fine
A pipe's right angle elbow at our filtered water system started leaking. I bought this product, looked at YouTube how to remove a push-to-connect tube (a small tool is preferred) and bought this pack of ten. While I needed only one the cost saving of calling a plumber is worth the money. The previous elbow has lasted ten years thus this bag should suffice for the next 100 years.

John Guest fitting is a solid product
These John Guest elbow fittings are well made, easy to install and most importantly, do not leak. These were for a modification to an existing water purification system that had some of the same type already installed and operating for over 10 years between 150 and 190 psig in temperature conditions between 40 and 105 degrees F without failure.

I have changed out all my RO fittings to John ...
I have changed out all my RO fittings to John Guest fittings because they don't leak. I got tired of doing a simple filter change only to find water running out of my kitchen sink cabinet coming from a leaky Chinese fitting.

John Guest Tube Fitting
This was needed to replace old fittings at the top of our under counter water filter. It is the same brand as the one it replaced. Worked as it should. Very easy to connect the tubing.
