Bayesian Probability for Babies: 1 (Baby University)

Well made, high quality book. Contents are actually spot on the maths and well explained. Bought as a joke for newborn, but would be great for older children

Exactly as described. It only has around 8 pages and it's a very very very simplified version with drawings. I bought it for my student as a joke gift to celebrate her passing.

This is one of the best in the set, explaining Bayesian probability using cookies. It’s essentially a lesson in attending to base rates, really. But this lesson is never overtly stated. Maybe that’s not a bad thing.

Great books, building up the collection

Simple book, my baby gets it. She also likes cookies.

I really wanted to read something that would Bayesian Probability "for Dummies". From the book title, it seemed like it'd give me a good understanding of the Bayes rule, in a very accessible way. If it really gave a great explanation, keeping it engaging and simple, yet giving me good intuitive understanding - the book would get 5 stars and I'd buy an unlimited amount of similar books on the same subject. Unfortunately, the execution is lacking. Obviously, it wouldn't be of any value to parents trying to make the subject understandable and engaging to their kids. And to me, as a grown adult, it didn't present the subject in an intuitive, or engaging, or very understandable way. Seems like a rough outline of a blog post which could've been good. The two stars that I did give are for an excellent premise - there SHOULD be books tackling difficult subjects in easy to understand and intuitive ways.

The content of these books are great but the quality of the book itself is poor. It begins tearing on the first time you open it.

Chances are most people you know won't be able to understand this book let alone the baby ... I'm not sure what the pedagogical theory might be behind this book but from my perspective it was pretty disappointing.

It is not clear who this book is intended to. My two-year sold was interested, but I don’t think he could grasp the concept. I do think, however, that the idea is presented the simplest way possible and that it will be useful one day, if not at his age.

This is an A+ gift for a baby or toddler if you're the nerdy / academic person in the parents' life. My 3yo nephew really enjoys flipping through it. I won't pretend that he's ready for the AP Stats exam just yet, but he likes the illustrations and it's a fun book to read to him.

It's funny! I loved it. The papers are very thick, and they have a good quality.

J'utilise ce livre pour vulgariser la notion de statistique bayésienne avec des adultes. J'adore le concept de cette collection mais celui cet ouvrage n'est pas le plus simple à comprendre puisqu'il y a une formule mathématique un poil complexe au beau milieu...

Amazing book. Got it as soon as a coworker gifted us the physics version!
