Great, I sanded down the basement wood painted steps and vacuumed them. Good adhesion, in use for four months. Since it was cold in the basement. I warmed up the steps with a blow dryer. If I had to do it all over, I would use the same treads. Good frictions on contact with shoes, sneakers, sox and bare feet. My wife who has low vision says they are very helpful with the yellow and black stripes.
