Chia Pet Decorative Pottery Planter, Care Bears-Good Luck Bear

I was so excited to grow this at the doctors office I work at. I have a corner desk where everyone can see it. The first seeds sprouted in his crotch. So his name is Ron Jeremy. That's fun to explain. Now the seeds on his arm pits and buttcrack have sprouted. There are several theories around why its these seeds are growing and NONE of the others. I'm considering scraping all the seeds off and just gluing fake moss on.

I bought this for my daughter who really wanted to grow something - so a chia pet it was! Theyre usually a pretty easy thing to start and maintain regardless of skill. Unfortunately, the seeds never truly stuck to the bear. They slid off so much that I tried for hours off and on after she had gone to bed to keep reattaching seeds. Then, shortly after we had a few sprouts, about 25% of the bear molded. Highly disappointing. If I order another chia pet, it will be a traditional one.

The bear is super cute! I love it, but the chia seeds got moldy long before they sprouted. They're resilient and obviously want to grow, but it did not look like the picture. The four stars is for the carebear vase that I still keep and love even with nothing on it

My niece has absolutely love Care Bears and I remember them from when I was a little boy Chia Pet has always made an excellent product this extremely fun and an excellent learning experience for small children. It's also easy and little to no mess gor us adults.

I’m basically just annoyed that this showed up without an outer box. How can I gift something with a giant shipping label on it? I don’t even know if all the parts are inside. The item wasn’t taped shut at all.

I followed the directions and the seeds took forever to get ready to be applied.Once it was ready I again followed the directions and watered it. It did grow but very unevenly and it smelled awful!

I gave this as a gift exchange gift and it was a big hit! My gift was the popular gift this year, my younger brother ended up getting It so I have no idea if it’s surviving but I’m pleased!

This was my daughter's favorite care bear as a child so she appreciated the chia for her children. They enjoyed watching the growth of the sprouts and how it changed the appearance of the care bear.
